Friday Primetime Results:
· "Dateline NBC" (1.2/5 in 18-49, 5.7 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET) ranks as the #1 show of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49 (1.2) and adults 25-54 (1.6). "Dateline" won the time period among the Big 4 in adults 18-49, adults 25-54, total viewers and other key measures and grew from half-hour to half-hour by +18% in adults 18-49 (to a 1.3 from a 1.1), +14% in total viewers (6.1 million vs. 5.3 million), +13% in adults 25-54 (1.7 vs. 1.5) and +21% in women 25-54 (2.3 vs. 1.9).
· "Dateline" equaled the show's top Friday result since May 30 in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54, growing versus last week's 8-10:01 p.m. rating by +9% in 18-49 (1.2 vs. 1.1) and by +7% in 25-54 (1.6 vs. 1.5).
· The NBC News Special "Hannah Anderson: Anatomy of a Kidnapping" (1.0/4 in 18-49, 4.5 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) reported seven-week highs for NBC in the slot in 18-49, 25-54 (1.3) and total viewers (best since Stanley Cup coverage on June 13).
· "Hannah Anderson: Anatomy of a Kidnapping" finished within 0.1 of a point of slot regular "20/20" in adults 18-49 (1.0 vs. 1.1), ranking #2 in the time period among ABC, CBS and NBC in 18-49 and tying for #1 among those nets in men 18-49 and men 18-34.
· An encore telecast of Monday's "Running Wild with Bear Grylls" (0.6/3 in 18-49, 2.5.7 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) tied for #2 in the hour among the Big 4 in adults 18-49.
In Late-Night Metered Markets Friday night:
· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.8/7; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 1.8/4 with an encore; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.8/4 with an encore.
· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.1/5; "Late Show," 0.3/1 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/2 with an encore.
· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.3/4 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (0.9/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/1).
· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
