NBC ratings notes for Tuesday, July 15:
· NBC came in second in the 18-49 demo (1.7/6) and total viewers (8.466 million), defeating all other networks except Fox, which had the Major League Baseball All-Star Game.
· From 8-10 p.m., "America's Got Talent" (2.0/7) was better than double any program on CBS or ABC during the night.
· NBC won the night in the women's 18-49 demo against all competition.
· "America's Got Talent" rose in every half-hour in both the demo and total viewers, except for 9:30-10 p.m.
· "The Night Shift" (1.2/4) came in second in the 10 p.m. hour in the demo and total viewers (6.215 million), losing only to baseball.
In Late-Night Metered Markets Tuesday night:
· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.7/7; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 1.8/5; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.6/4 with an encore.
· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.1/5; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/2 with an encore.
