"48 HOURS: TEMPTATION IN TEXAS" WAS SATURDAY'S #1 BROADCAST AT 10:00 PM WITH VIEWERS AND ADULTS 25-54 - THE DEMOGRAPHIC THAT MATTERS MOST TO THOSE WHO ADVERTISE IN NEWS
48 HOURS: "Temptation in Texas" was Saturday's #1 broadcast at 10:00 PM in viewers and adults 25-54, the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for May 3.
48 HOURS: "Temptation in Texas" delivered 5.10m viewers and a 1.2/04 with adults 25-54.
Saturday's broadcast featured Peter Van Sant and 48 HOURS's investigation into the death of a Texas businessman with a taste for bondage and the overriding question of whether he was killed by an intruder, someone he loved or by his own hand. The investigation into what happened would uncover a web of strained relationships, allegations of extramarital affairs and plenty of potential suspects - many of whom feared the victim, Greg Williams. It is also a case that was upended when the key witness - the victim's wife, Michele Williams - changed her version of events in a 48 HOURS interview.
Van Sant and the 48 HOURS team pieced together the death of Greg Williams and the investigation into what happened through interviews with Michele; her sons, Lee and Andrew; her sister, Laura; Michele's current boyfriend, Gene Wallis; Claire St. Amant, managing editor of the website CultureMap Dallas and a CBS News consultant; and Greg Williams' ex-wife, Kathy Williams.
48 HOURS: "Temptation in Texas" is produced by Ryan N. Smith and Alec Sirken. Mead Stone is the producer-editor and Jennifer Terker is the associate producer. Ken Blum, George Baluzy and Mike Mongulla are the editors. Anthony Batson is the senior broadcast producer. Susan Zirinsky is the senior executive producer.
