Friday's Broadcast Ratings: Another Week, Another "Shark Tank" Victory

Here are the highlights of the 14 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (5/2/14):

ABC (6.966 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.8, #1) was the top demo draw on Friday with its mix of "Shark Tank: Swimming with Sharks" (5.836 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T3), "Shark Tank" (8.084 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.2, #1) and "20/20" (6.980 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.7, #2).

CBS (9.214 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T2) then was the most-watched network with originals from "Unforgettable" (7.575 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T8), "Hawaii Five-0" (8.689 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T6) and "Blue Bloods" (11.378 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T3).

Next up was NBC (4.791 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T2) and its lineup of "Dateline NBC" (6.418 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T6), "Grimm" (5.198 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.4, #5) and "Hannibal" (2.758 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T8).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.488 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.8, #4) offered up fresh installments of "Kitchen Nightmares" (2.426 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.9, #10) and another "Kitchen Nightmares" (2.551 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.8, #11).

And finally, a new "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (1.194 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.4, #12), a repeat "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (1.009 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.3, #13) and a new "Hart of Dixie" (0.674 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.2, #14) rounded out the night on The CW (0.888 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5). In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), "Whose Line" posted a 0.3 rating at 8:00/7:00c and 0.2 rating at 8:30/7:30c while "Dixie" managed a 0.3 rating.

·From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.4/4 in metered-market households and a 0.5/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

·From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.2/4 in metered-market households with an encore) trailed CBS's first-run "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.3/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

·At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
