DEADLIEST CATCH Season Premiere Grabs 3.82 Million Viewers

Discovery Channel #1 Network in All of Television in Men 25-54

(Silver Spring, MD) Last night's season 10 premiere of DEADLIEST CATCH was the highest rated premiere of the series in three seasons in Persons 25-54 (season 8, 9, 10)*. It was the #1 Tuesday cable program among both Persons and Men 25-54 delivery, no exclusions and the #3 program in All of Television among M25-54, no exclusions, on Tuesday, April 22. Discovery was also the #1 network in all of television, broadcast and cable included, in Men.

DEADLIEST CATCH from 9-11 PM ET/PT earned a 2.74 HH / 2.31 P25-54 / 3.00 M25-54 / 1.81 P18-49 / 2.25 M18-49 AA% with 3.824 million total viewers P2+ delivery on Tuesday, April 22. It beat numerous broadcast and cable television programs among Men 25-54, including TNT's NBA Playoffs, CBS' NCIS and Person of Interest and NBC's About a Boy and Growing Up Fisher.

The Bait, the DEADLIEST CATCH preshow at 8PM ET/PT, earned a 1.61 HH / 1.28 P25-54 / 1.74 M25-54 / 1.02 P18-49 / 1.30 M18-49 AA% with 2.164 million total viewers P2+ delivery. This marks a series high for The Bait in Persons 25-54.

Discovery Channel was the #1 network in All of Television on Tuesday in Men 25-54 delivery, no exclusions, and the #3 network in All of Television among P25-54, no exclusions.

Additionally, the official DEADLIEST CATCH website saw a 69% year-over-year increase in unique visitors for the premiere of Season 10. Video streams were up more than 100% year-over-year with the launch of several new original web series, including The 10 Moments that Defined Deadliest Catch.

An all new DEADLIEST CATCH premieres next Tuesday, April 29 at 9 PM ET/PT

*Season 10 launch earned a 2.31 P25-54 with 3.82 million total viewers P2+; season nine launch earned a 2.25 P25-54 with 3.47 million total viewers P2+; and season eight launch earned a 2.07 P25-54 with 3.14 million total viewers P2+.
