UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - April 15, 2014 - With the Monday and Tuesday editions of "The Voice" generating two of the week's top five adult 18-49 ratings among primetime programs on the Big 4 networks, NBC has averaged a 1.4 rating, 4 share in adults 18-49 and 5.4 million viewers overall for the week of April 7-13, according to "live plus same day" viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research.

The Monday edition of "The Voice" ranked #3 among the week's primetime shows on the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49, while Tuesday's "Voice" finished #5 (rankings exclude sports pre- and post-game shows). Also ranking in the top 30 were: "Law & Order: SVU" (tied for #14), "Chicago Fire" (tied for #21) and "About a Boy" (tied for #25). Excluding sports, the Monday "Voice" was #2 among Big 4 primetime programs in adults 18-49 and #1 in teens 12-17.

Among the NBC shows preempted or in rebroadcast last week were "The Blacklist," "Revolution," "Hollywood Game Night" and Friday's "Dateline NBC."

Through 29 weeks of the season, NBC ranks #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, adults 25-54, all key adult-female demos and other key measures. It's the first time NBC has ranked #1 in 18-49 this late in the season in 10 years (since the 2003-04 season).

NBC's 2.9 rating in adults 18-49 is the network's top average at this point in the season in five years (since a 2.9 in 2008-09). Versus one year ago, NBC is up 21% season to date in adults 18-49 (2.9 vs. 2.4).

Thru the season's 29th week (thru April 13), NBC has won 78 nights in adults 18-49 among the Big 4 networks, more NBC nightlong wins than for any full September-to-May season since 2003-04 (83 wins).

In total viewers, NBC ranks #2 for the season with an average of 9.7 million viewers, which is its biggest overall audience 29 weeks into the season in eight years (since 2005-06, 9.9 million). Versus one year ago, NBC is up 38% season to date in total viewers (9.7 million vs. 7.0 million).

Primetime averages for the week of April 7-13 in adults 18-49 are: CBS, 2.1/7; ABC, 1.5/5; Fox, 1.5/5; NBC, 1.4/4; and CW, 0.3/1. In overall total viewers, the weekly averages were: CBS, 10.0 million; ABC, 6.2 million; NBC, 5.4 million; Fox, 4.9 million; and CW, 1.0 million.

Season-to-date averages are: NBC, 2.9/8; Fox, 2.6/8; CBS, 2.4/7; ABC, 2.1/6; and CW, 0.8/2. In overall total viewers, the season averages are: CBS, 10.9 million; NBC, 9.7 million; Fox, 7.7 million; ABC, 7.5 million; and CW, 1.9 million.

NBC highlights for the week of April 7-13:

Monday: Despite competition this week from CBS's NCAA Basketball coverage, "The Voice" (3.5 rating, 10 share in adults 18-49, 12.0 million viewers overall from 8-10:01 p.m. ET) grew 3% week to week in 18-49 rating (to a 3.5 from a 3.4), while retaining 97% of the prior week's result in total viewers (12.0 million vs. 12.3 million). "The Voice" was the #1 non-sports telecast of the night in adults 18-49 by a margin of 59% (3.5 vs. 2.2 for ABC's "Dancing With the Stars"). Despite the basketball competition, "The Voice" ranked #1 for the time period in all key adult-female demographics and was the time period's top non-sports program on the Big 4 nets in all key demographics.

A special Monday telecast of "American Dream Builders" (1.5/4 in adults 18-49, 5.1 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) scored the show's highest Nielsen results to date in adults 18-49 and total viewers, topping ratings for each of the show's three regular Sunday telecasts so far, including the prior highs set by its March 23 debut (0.9/2 in 18-49, 3.603 million viewers overall).

Tuesday: NBC tied for #1 Tuesday night in adults 18-49, led by the #1 show of the night, "The Voice" and a time-period win at 10 for "Chicago Fire."

"The Voice 6" (2.9/9 in 18-49, 11.1 million viewers overall from 8-9:01 p.m. ET) was the #1 show of the night in adults 18-49 and ranked #1 in its time period in adults 18-49 and other key measures. "The Voice" grew substantially from half-hour to half-hour in all key measures, including gains of +19% in adults 18-49 (to a 3.1 rating from a 2.6), +11% in adults 25-54 (3.9 vs. 3.5) and +16% or 0.7 of a point in women 25-54 (5.0 vs. 4.3).

"About a Boy" (1.7/5 in 18-49, 6.9 million viewers overall from 9:01-9:31 p.m. ET) ranked #2 in the time period among the Big 4 nets in adults 18-49, 18-34 and 25-54, as well as total viewers, ahead of comedy competition on ABC and Fox in each of those measures.

"Growing Up Fisher" (1.5/4 in 18-49, 5.5 million viewers overall from 9:31-10 p.m. ET) finished #2 in the half-hour among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, 18-34 and 25-54, as well as total viewers, ahead of comedy competition on ABC and Fox in each of those categories. Growing Up Fisher" retained a best-yet 88% of its 18-49 lead-in from "About a Boy."

With its first original telecast in three weeks, "Chicago Fire" (1.8/5 in 18-49, 7.0 million viewers overall) won the 10 p.m. hour in adults 18-49 and other key measures. It was the sixth consecutive "Chicago Fire" original to finish #1 or tied for #1 in the time period among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49 and the seventh original in a row to generate an 18-49 rating in the 1.8-1.9 range. From its first half-hour to its second, "Chicago Fire" maintained or increased its rating in all key measures, despite the 10 p.m. hour.

Wednesday: "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (2.1/6 in adults 18-49, 7.4 million viewers overall from 9-10:01 p.m. ET) grew +24% week to week in adult 18-49 rating (to a 2.1 from a 1.7) and by +26% or 1.5 million persons in total viewers (7.4 million vs. 5.9 million). In 18-49, it's the highest-rated "SVU" since Jan. 8 (2.1) and matches the show's highest 18-49 rating since the season premiere on Sept. 25 (2.7). In total viewers, this is the top "SVU" since Feb. 26 (7.782 million). "SVU" tied that night's 9-10 p.m. rating of "American Idol" in adults 18-49 (with a 2.1 rating vs. a 2.1 for the second hour of "Idol") and "SVU" beat "Idol" head to head in men 18-49 and adults, men and women 18-34. L+7 Time-Shifting: The March 19 "Law & Order: SVU" increased in 18-49 by 71% in L+7 (2.63 vs. 1.54).

For its second half-hour from 9:30-10 p.m. ET, "Law & Order: SVU" pulled within a tenth of a rating point of first-place "Criminal Minds" in adults 18-49 (2.2 vs. 2.3) and moved ahead of "American Idol" (2.1 that half-hour). For the 9:30-10 half-hour, "SVU" ranked #1 among the Big 4 ahead of "Criminal Minds" and "Idol" in adults, men and women 18-34. .

"Chicago P.D." (1.6/5 in 18-49, 6.5 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) equaled its highest adult 18-49 rating since the "SVU" crossover episode on Feb. 26 (2.2) and also hit a total-viewer high since that Feb. 26 edition (8.0 million). In total viewers, "Chicago P.D." grew week to week by 13% (6.5 million vs. 5.7 million). In the time period, "Chicago P.D." finished within a tenth of a point of the slot lead among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49 (1.6 vs. 1.7 for "CSI") and ranked #1 among those networks in adults, men and women 18-34. L+7 Time-Shifting: The March 19 "Chicago P.D." grew in 18-49 rating by 66% in L+7 (2.34 vs. 1.41).

Thursday: "Community" (0.9/3, 2.6 million viewers overall from 8-8:30 p.m. ET) matched its week-ago rating in adults 18-49 and was up week to week by +2% in total viewers (to 2.6 million from 2.5 million). L+3 Time-Shifting: The prior "Community" grew in 18-49 rating by 28% in L+3 (1.13 vs. 0.88).

"Parks and Recreation" (1.0/3 in 18-49, 2.6 million viewers overall from 8:30-9:01 p.m. ET) built on its lead-in in all key demos, including a gain of +11% in adults 18-49, +25% in adults 18-34 (to a 1.0 rating from a 0.8) and +33% in women 18-34 (1.2 vs. 0.9). L+3 Time-Shifting: The previous "Parks and Recreation" grew in 18-49 rating by 36% in L+3 (1.54 vs. 1.13).

A "Hollywood Game Night" encore (0.9/3 in 18-49, 2.6 million viewers overall from 9:01-10 p.m. ET) grew from half-hour to half-hour in nearly all key measures, with gains of +43% in adults 18-49 (to a 1.0 rating from a 0.7), +33% in adults 25-54 (1.2 vs. 0.9) and +33% in women 25-54 (1.6 vs. 1.2).

"Parenthood" (1.1/3 in 18-49, 3.7 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) ranked #2 among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-34 (with a 1.0 rating) and women 18-34 (1.4). Versus its lead-in, "Parenthood" was up +22% in adults 18-49 (1.1 vs. 0.9) and up +40% in total viewers (3.7 million vs. 2.6 million). L+7 Time-Shifting: The March 27 "Parenthood" grew in 18-49 rating by 72% in L+7 (to a 2.39 from a 1.39) and increased by 2.3 million persons in total viewers (6.7 million vs. 4.4 million).

Friday: The NBC News Special "Brian Williams Reporting: 108 Hours: Inside the Hunt for the Boston Marathon Bombers" (0.7/3 in 18-49, 3.7 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) grew from its first half-hour to its second in most key measures, including a gain of +14% in adults 18-49 (to a 0.8 rating from a 0.7).

"Grimm" (1.1/4 in 18-49, 4.7 million viewers overall from 9-10:01 p.m. ET) built on its 18-49 lead-in by +57% in 18-49. "Grimm" retained 97% of its week-ago result in total viewers (4.7 million vs. 4.9 million). L+7 Time-Shifting: The March 21 "Grimm" grew in 18-49 rating by 70% in L+7 (2.64 vs. 1.55).

"Hannibal" (0.7/2 in 18-49, 2.2 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) grew week to week in total viewers by +3% (to 2.247 million from 2.179 million). L+7 Time-Shifting: The March 28 "Hannibal" grew in 18-49 rating by 62% in L+7 (1.58 vs. 0.98) and increased by 1.2 million viewers overall (to 4.4 million from 3.2 million).

Saturday: NBC was the top non-sports choice among the Big 4 networks Saturday night in adults 18-49 and total viewers, with the 10 p.m. ET "Saturday Night Live" encore the #1 primetime show, excluding sports, on the Big 4 in 18-49.

"Dateline Saturday Night Mystery" (0.7/3 in 18-49, 4.4 million viewers overall) grew from its first half-hour to its fourth by +80% in 18-49 rating (to a 0.9 rating from a 0.5) and +42 or 1.5 million persons in total viewers (5.1 million vs. 3.6 million). In its six weeks on the schedule, "Dateline Saturday Night Mystery" has generated NBC's six top total-viewer results in the time period, excluding sports, in more than two years (since Jan. 21, 2012).

A rebroadcast of "Saturday Night Live" (0.9/3 in 18-49, 2.9 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET), with host Anna Kendrick and musical guest Pharrell, scored the highest 18-49 and total-viewer results for these 10 p.m. rebroadcasts since March 8. This week's "SNL" 10 p.m. encore jumped versus the prior week's rebroadcast by +29% in 18-49 rating (to a 0.9 from a 0.7) and +21% in total viewers (2.9 million vs. 2.4 million).

Sunday: "Dateline NBC" (0.8/3 in 18-49, 4.4 million viewers overall from 7-8 p.m. ET) reported the network's top 18-49 rating in the time period since March 23 and biggest overall audience in the slot since March 9.

"American Dream Builders" (0.7/2 in 18-49, 3.1 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) is even with the prior week's 0.7 in official nationals and up +6% in total viewers (3.1 million vs. 2.9 million). "American Dream Builders" is up or even half-hour to half-hour in every key measure, including gains of +50% in adults 18-34 (to a 0.6 from a 0.4) and +40% in women 18-34 (0.7 vs. 0.5).

"Believe" (1.0/3 in 18-49, 4.3 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET) equaled the prior week's 18-49 rating and was up +2% in total viewers (4.3 million vs. 4.2 million). "Believe" grew +10% half-hour to half-hour in adults 18-49 (to a 1.1 from a 1.0) and was up or even half-hour to half-hour in every key measure. Versus it lead-in, "Believe" was up +43% in adults 18-49 and up +41% or more than 1.2 million persons in total viewers. L+3 Time-Shifting: The prior week's "Believe" grew in L+3 by 69% or 0.67 of a rating point in 18-49 (to a 1.64 from a 0.97) and by 2.1 million viewers overall (6.3 million vs. 4.2 million).

"Crisis" (1.1/3 in 18-49, 4.1 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) grew 10% week to week in adults 18-49 (to a 1.1 from a 1.0) and was also up 10% versus this week's 18-49 lead-in. L+3 Time-Shifting: The prior week's "Crisis" grew in L+3 by 62% or 0.63 of a rating point in 18-49 (to a 1.64 from a 1.01) and by 1.9 million viewers overall (6.4 million vs. 4.5 million).
