Sunday's Broadcast Ratings: "Academy of Country Music Awards" Puts on CBS on Top

Here are the highlights of the 16 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (4/6/14):

CBS (13.098 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.8, #1) was the network to beat on Sunday with its presentation of "60 Minutes" (9.975 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T7) and "The 49th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards" (14.140 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.3, #1).

The silver then went to ABC (6.293 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.7, #2) and its mix of "America's Funniest Home Videos" (6.027 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T7), "Once Upon a Time" (6.679 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 2.2, #3), "Resurrection" (7.539 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.1, #4) and "Revenge" (4.930 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T7).

Next up was FOX (3.671 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.5, #3) and its lineup of "Bob's Burgers" (2.274 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.9, #13), "American Dad" (2.713 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 1.2, #10), "The Simpsons" (4.303 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.9, #5), "Family Guy" (4.719 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 2.3, #2) and "Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey" (4.010 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 1.5, #6).

And finally, NBC (3.913 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.8, #4) closed out the evening with "Ann Curry Reports: Our Year of Extremes - Did Climate Change Just Hit Home?" CBS (13.866 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.6, #1) was the top draw on Sunday thanks to a new "60 Minutes" (9.337 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T4) followed by "The 48th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards" (15.376 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 4.3, #1). Said numbers were big boost from last year's ceremony (12.97 million viewers, 3.1 adults 18-49 rating on 4/1/12).

A distant second place then went to FOX (2.820 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.3, #2) with its lineup of "Bob's Burgers" (1.744 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.7, #12), "The Cleveland Show" (2.001 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T10), "The Simpsons" (3.234 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T4), another "Bob's Burgers" (2.976 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T4), "Family Guy" (3.595 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.7, #2) plus a new "The Cleveland Show" (3.373 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.6, #3).

Next up was NBC (3.735 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.2, #3) with encores of "The Voice" (3.898 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.2, #8) and "The Celebrity Apprentice" (2.687 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T10) followed by a new "The Celebrity Apprentice" (4.455 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T4).

And finally, ABC (3.274 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.7, #4) was out of the hunt with its all-repeat lineup of "America's Funniest Home Videos" (5.545 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.1, #9), "Once Upon a Time" (2.997 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T13), "Revenge" (2.379 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T13) and "Red Widow" (2.176 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.5, #15).
