Friday's Broadcast Ratings: "Blue Bloods," "Shark Tank" Return to Respective Top Spots

Here are the highlights of the 16 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (4/4/14):

ABC (6.193 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.5, #1) was the top demo draw on Friday with its mix of "Last Man Standing" (6.173 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T4), "The Neighbors" (3.941 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.9, #9), "Shark Tank" (7.191 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.9, #1) and "20/20" (6.332 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T2).

CBS (9.473 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.3, #2) then was the most-watched network with the return of "Unforgettable" (7.497 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.0, #8) followed by new episodes of "Hawaii Five-0" (9.522 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T4) and "Blue Bloods" (11.401 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T2).

Next up was NBC (4.452 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.1, #3) with originals from "Dateline NBC" (6.150 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.2, #7), "Grimm" (4.883 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T4) and "Hannibal" (2.324 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.8, #10).

Meanwhile, FOX (1.757 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #4) served up a repeat of "Kitchen Nightmares" (1.933 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.7, #11) alongside a new "Raising Hope" (1.612 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T12) and the series finale of "Raising Hope" (1.549 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T12).

And finally, a new "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (1.535 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T14), a repeat "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (1.374 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T14) and a new "Hart of Dixie" (0.766 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 0.3, #16) on The CW (1.110 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5) closed out the evening. ·From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.3/4 in metered-market households and a 0.5/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

·From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.3/4 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.2/4 with an encore). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/1 with an encore).

·At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.4/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 14 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (4/5/13):

ABC (5.177 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.6, #1) took home top demo honors on Friday with its mix of "Happy Endings" (3.303 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.1, #6), another "Happy Endings" (2.670 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.0, #7), "Shark Tank" (6.768 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 2.1, #1) and "20/20" (5.776 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.8, #2).

CBS (8.937 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.3, #2) then claimed the silver with a new "Undercover Boss" (8.452 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.6, #3), the relocated "Vegas" (7.588 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.9, #8) - a series low - and an original "Blue Bloods" (10.773 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.4, #5).

Next up was NBC (3.670 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.9, #3) and its lineup of "Fashion Star" (2.581 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T11), "Grimm" (4.956 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.5, #4) and "Rock Center With Brian Williams" (3.476 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T9).
