Friday Primetime Results:
· "Dateline NBC" (1.4/5 in 18-49, 7.6 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) ranked #1 among the Big 4 nets in the time period in adults 18-49, adults 25-54, adults 18-34, total viewers and all key adult-female demos. "Dateline" grew from its first half-hour to its second in all key measures, including gains of 25% in adults 18-49 (to a 1.5 rating from a 1.2), 22% in adults 25-54 (2.2 vs. 1.8) and 27% in women 25-54 (2.8 vs. 2.2).
· "Dateline NBC" jumped 27% week to week in adults 18-49 (to a 1.4 rating from a 1.1), 25% in adults 25-54 (2.0 vs. 1.6) and 24% in total viewers (7.578 million vs. 6.122 million). In total viewers, it's the top "Dateline" since Jan. 3.
· "Grimm" (1.5/5 in 18-49, 5.7 million viewers overall from 9-10:01 p.m. ET) captured its top total-viewer result since Jan. 24. Week to week, "Grimm" was up 7% in total viewers (5.728 million vs. 5.357 million). In 18-49, "Grimm" is currently down a tenth week to week but is otherwise matching its top rating since Dec. 6. Versus its results for the same night last year, "Grimm" is up 7% in 18-49 rating (1.5 vs. 1.4) and up 15% in total viewers (5.728 million vs. 5.000 million). L+3 Time-Shifting: The prior week's "Grimm" increased by 68% going from these next-day L+SD ratings to L+3 (to a 2.63 from a 1.57) and by more than 2.5 million persons in total viewers (to 7.9 million from 5.4 million).
· "Grimm" is the #1 scripted series of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49.
· "Hannibal" (0.9/3 in 18-49 and 2.8 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) matched its week-ago rating in 18-49 and is up a tenth of a point versus two weeks ago. In total viewers, "Hannibal" is up 13% week to week (2.791 million vs. 2.468 million) to its second biggest audience among four telecasts this season behind only the show's Feb. 28 season premiere. It's also the second biggest "Hannibal" in total viewers since April 18, 2013, three weeks into the show's first season. L+3 Time-Shifting: The prior week's "Hannibal" grew by 61% going from its next-day L+SD rating to L+3 (to a 1.42 from a 0.88) and by more than 1.0 million viewers overall (3.5 million vs. 2.5 million).
In Late-Night Metered Markets Friday night:
· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 3.2/8; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 1.6/5 with an encore delayed by basketball; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.3/5.
· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "Tonight," 1.2/5; "Late Show," 0.5/3 with an encore delayed by basketball; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.7/3.
· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.4/4 in metered-market households and a 0.5/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.5/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (0.9/3 with an encore delayed by basketball). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.6/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2 with an encore delayed by basketball).
· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
