BRAVO MEDIA'S "TOP CHEF" FINALE SIZZLED LAST NIGHT EARNING SEASON HIGH RATINGS IN ALL KEY DEMOS WITH 1.7 MILLION TOTAL VIEWERS
NEW YORK - February 6, 2014 - Bravo Media's "Top Chef" named its 11th season winner Nicholas Elmi in Maui, Hawaii last night with the highest rated episode of the season among all key demos, according to Nielsen. The finale cooked up 1.7 million total viewers, marking a 13 percent increase from the prior week (1/29/14), as well as one million P25-54 (+13%) and 872,000 P18-49 (+7%).
Leading to what the judges proclaimed to be the closest decision in the series' history, Nicholas faced off head-to-head against Nina Compton. Each was challenged to execute the best service of their lives while opening pop up restaurants in Maui serving diners including their family members, former chef'testants and judges Padma Lakshmi, Tom Colicchio, Emeril Lagassse, Gail Simmons and Hugh Acheson. As previously announced, the Emmy and James Beard Award-winning series will be returning for a twelfth season in Fall 2014.
In addition on last night's episode of "Watch What Happens Live" featuring Nicholas and Nina, Andy Cohen announced Nina as the winner of the "Top Chef Fan Favorite" online poll, awarding her $10,000.
