Thursday Primetime Results:
· "Parenthood" (1.3/4 in 18-49, 4.3 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m.) finished #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in the 10 p.m. hour in adults 18-49, as well as women 18-49 and adults, men and women 18-34. "Parenthood" grew 8% week to week (1.3 vs. 1.2), to equal its highest 18-49 rating since Oct. 3 (1.5), during the second week of the season. In total viewers, "Parenthood" was up 7% week to week (4.252 million vs. 3.981 million) and is currently reporting the show's second-best total viewership since premiere week (virtually tying its 4.256 million of Jan. 9 and otherwise highest since 5.056 million on Sept. 26, pending updates).
· L+3 Time-Shifting: The previous week's "Parenthood" added 73% or 0.90 of a point to its next-day L+SD 18-49 rating in L+3 results (to a 2.14 in L+3 from a 1.24 in L+SD).
· "Community" (1.1/3 in adults 18-49, 3.0 million viewers overall from 8-8:30 p.m. ET) matched last week's 18-49 rating. Last night's "Community" is running within 15% of the show's season premiere three weeks earlier (1.1 vs. 1.3 on Jan. 2), a significant improvement versus last season, when the fourth "Community" had declined by 37% versus the season premiere (1.2 on Feb. 28, 2013 vs. a 1.9 on Feb. 7). L+3 Time-Shifting: The previous week's "Community" added 34% or 0.37 of a point to its next-day "live plus same day" 18-49 rating in "live plus three day" results (to a 1.45 in L+3 from a 1.08 L+SD).
· "Parks and Recreation" (1.2/3 in 18-49, 3.0 million viewers overall from 8:30-9:01 p.m. ET) built on its "Community" lead-in by 9% in adults 18-49. In the time period, "Parks" is tied for #2 among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-34 and #2 outright among those nets in men 18-34. L+3 Time-Shifting: The prior week's "Parks and Recreation" grew by 42% or 0.51 of a point going from its next-day L+SD 18-49 rating to its L+3 result (to a 1.73 in L+3 from a 1.22 in L+SD).
· "The Michael J. Fox Show" earned a 0.7/2 in 18-49 and 2.2 million viewers overall from 9:01-9:31 p.m. ET, growing a tenth of a point or 17% versus last week's 9:30 telecast (0.7 vs. 0.6). In total viewers, "MJF" grew week to week by 12% (2.240 million vs. 1.992 million). L+3 Time-Shifting: The previous week's "Michael J. Fox" added 39% or 0.23 of a point to its next-day L+SD 18-49 rating in L+3 results (to a 0.82 in L+3 from a 0.59 in L+SD)..
· "Sean Saves the World" averaged a 0.7/2 in 18-49 and 2.6 million viewers overall from 9:31-10 p.m., retaining 100% of its 18-49 lead-in from "MJF" and building by 16% in total viewers. L+3 Time-Shifting: The prior week's "Sean Saves the World" grew by 25% or 0.21 of a point versus its next-day "live plus same day" 18-49 rating (to a 1.04 in L+3 from a 0.83 in L+SD).
In Late-Night Metered Markets Thursday night:
· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 2.8/7; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.4/6; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.2/6.
· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.9/4; "Late Show," 0.5/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.8/4.
· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.3/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.6/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.2/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.6/4 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).
· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.9/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
