Friday's Most-Watched Program is Posting Year-to-Year Growth in Viewers,
Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49
Averaging 14.11 Million Viewers, "Blue Bloods" is the Most-Watched Friday Series On Network Television in 11 Years
BLUE BLOODS, Friday's most-watched series, delivered its largest audience of the season, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Jan. 10.
On Friday, BLUE BLOODS was first in viewers (12.68m) and adults 25-54 (2.5/06) and was second in adults 18-49 (1.5/05). BLUE BLOODS posted its season-best viewers and adults 25-54 performances while matching its second-best adults 18-49 rating. Compared to the same night last year, BLUE BLOODS was up +13% in viewers and up +4% in adults 25-54.
This season, BLUE BLOODS is up +7% in viewers, (14.11m from 13.17m), up +4% in adults 25-54 (2.9 from 2.8) and has gained among adult 18-49 viewers. It also ranks as one of the most-played-back series on TV, gaining +33% in viewers and +50% in adult 18-49 with 7-day DVR playback.
BLUE BLOODS is the most-watched Friday program on network television since the 2002-2003 season, when "Law & Order: SVU" averaged 14.92 million viewers.
