MORE THAN 21 MILLION MINUTES OF BRONCOS-PATRIOTS ARE LIVE STREAMED THROUGH NBC SPORTS LIVE EXTRA
Most Ever for NBC NFL Regular-Season Game; Second-Most for Any NBC NFL Game Behind Only Super Bowl XLVI
60.5 Minutes per Visit is Best-Ever Engagement for Any NBC NFL Game
STAMFORD, Conn. - November 25, 2013 - Last night's overtime thriller in which Tom Brady and the New England Patriots came back from a 24-0 halftime deficit to defeat Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos, 34-31, delivered a record 21.3 million minutes of consumption through NBC Sports Live Extra, NBC Sports Group's live streaming product.
The 21.3 million minutes are the most for any NBC NFL regular-season game, passing this season's NFL Kickoff game between the Baltimore Ravens and Denver Broncos, which delivered 20.7 million minutes with the aid of a lengthy weather delay. Last night's game delivered the second-most minutes consumed among all NBC NFL games, trailing only the consumption of Super Bowl XLVI (78.6 million, Feb. 5, 2012).
Broncos-Patriots -- also referred to as Manning-Brady XIV -- delivered 60.5 minutes per visit, marking the best engagement for any NBC NFL game ever, including its live stream of Super Bowl XLVI.
NBC Sports Digital began live streaming NFL regular-season games when it acquired the league's premier primetime package in 2006. NBC Sports Live Extra began live streaming NBC NFL post-season games following the 2011 season (Jan.-Feb. 2012).
