Friday Primetime Results:
L+3 TIME-SHIFTING: Last week's "Grimm" grew by 78% and "Dracula" increased by 84% in "live plus three day" 18-49 results versus these next-day "live plus same day" ratings.
· "Grimm" (1.5/5 in 18-49, 5.7 million viewers overall at 9 p.m. ET) captured week-to-week gains of 15% in 18-49 rating (1.5 vs. 1.3) and 18% in total viewers (5.741 million vs. 4.875 million), to match the show's highest 18-49 rating since its Oct. 25 season premiere and deliver its biggest overall audience since that same date. "Grimm" built on its lead-in by 36% in 18-49. "Grimm" tied for the #1 scripted rating of the night on the Big 4 (1.5 each for "Grimm" and "Hawaii Five-0").
· L+3: Last week's "Grimm" added 78% or 1.03 rating points to its next-day "live plus same day" 18-49 rating (to a 2.35 in L+3 from a 1.32 in L+SD) and in total viewers, added 57% or 2.783 million persons (7.658 million vs. 4.875 million). The Nov. 8 total-viewer lift of 2.783 million in a series record for "Grimm." L+7: Last season, "Grimm" originals added an average 73% in 18-49 to these next-day L+SD ratings when Nielsen issued L+7 results (to a 2.86 from a 1.65).
· "Dracula" (0.9/3 in 18-49, 3.0 million viewers overall at 10 p.m. ET) is matching last week's 18-49 rating and is virtually even in total viewers (2.961 million this week vs. 2.963 million last week). L+3: Last week's "Dracula" added 84% or 0.79 of a point to its next-day "live plus same day" 18-49 rating (to a 1.73 in L+3 from a 0.94 in L+SD) and in total viewers, added 57% or 1.683 million persons (4.646 million vs. 2.963 million).
· "Dateline NBC" (1.1/4 in 18-49, 5.8 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) reported three-week slot highs in 18-49 and total viewers (best for NBC in the hour since Oct. 25). Week to week, "Dateline" was by 10% in adults 18-49 (to a 1.1 rating from a 1.0) and up 6% in total viewers (5.849 million vs. 5.527 million). In the time period, last night's "Dateline" ranked #2 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in women 25-54 and tied for #2 in adults 25-54.
· "Dateline NBC" grew from half-hour to half-hour in every key ratings category, including gains of 30% in adults 18-49 (to a 1.3 rating from a 1.0) and 29% in adults 25-54 (1.8 vs. 1.4).
In Late-Night Metered Markets Friday night:
· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 2.6/7; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.8/7; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.1/6 with an encore.
· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.6/3; "Late Show," 0.5/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.8/4 with an encore.
· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.4/4 in metered-market households and a 0.5/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.5/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.4/5). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).
· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.9/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
