SEASON-FIVE PREMIERE OF ANIMAL PLANET'S "PIT BULLS & PAROLEES" IS SERIES' BEST-EVER SEASON OPENER

· The season-five premiere of PIT BULLS & PAROLEES, "Out of the Dark," which aired Saturday, November 2, is the series' most-watched season opener, pulling in 1.2M P2+ viewers. Among this demo, "Out of the Dark" performed 23 percent above PIT BULLS & PAROLEES' season-four debut and saw an increase in 17 percent versus overall season-four levels.
· The season-five premiere also was series' the most-watched series season opener across many other key demos and posted double-digit gains versus season four's debut, including 782K HH (+10%), 502K P25-54 (+18%), 484K P18-49 (+13%), 377K W25-54 (+39%) and 352K W18-49 (+34%).
· This episode of PIT BULLS & PAROLEES helped Animal Planet rank among the top-three nonfiction, ad-supported cable networks in its Saturday at 10 PM time slot with W18-49 (#2) and W25-54 (#3).
PIT BULLS & PAROLEES follows Tia Maria Torres, renowned pit bull trainer and founder of Villalobos Rescue Center, as she unites pit bulls and parolees in a mission to rescue both from their troubled pasts.
