NBC highlights for the week of September 9-15:

Monday: The premiere of "The Million Second Quiz" (1.7 rating, 5 share in adults 18-49, 6.5 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) won the hour in 18-49, total viewers and all other key measures among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox. "The Million Second Quiz" equaled NBC's best rating in the hour since the Stanley Cup Finals on June 24 in a slot where NBC has been running strong original programming all summer long. It was also NBC's biggest overall audience in the time period since June 24.

In total viewers, "The Million Second Quiz" delivered the second-biggest audience for a debuting series on ABC, CBS, NBC or Fox since April 3, when ABC's "How To Live With Your Parents" premiered following "Modern Family," trailing over that span only CBS's June 24 debut of "Under the Dome."

"American Ninja Warrior" (1.7/5 in adults 18-49, 5.3 million viewers overall from 9-10:01 p.m. ET) ranked #1 for the hour on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, total viewers and all other key demos.

"Siberia" (0.6/2 in 18-49, 1.8 million viewers overall) hit a three-week high in total viewers, with its biggest audience since August 19 (and second biggest since July 29).

Tuesday: NBC won Tuesday night among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in 18-49 in each primetime half-hour, with "America's Got Talent" (2.3/7 in 18-49, 9.2 million viewers overall) #1 for the night on those networks and "The Million Second Quiz" (1.5/5 in adults 18-49, 5.8 million viewers at 8 p.m.) the #2 show on the Big 4.

Night two of "The Million Second Quiz" won the 8-9 p.m. time period among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and other key measures and scored NBC's best 18-49 and total-viewer results in the hour since June 18. In total viewers, the Tuesday edition of "America's Got Talent" was up week to week for a third-straight week, making it the biggest overall audience on the night since August 6.

Wednesday: "The Million Second Quiz" (1.3/4 in 18-49, 5.2 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) generated growth from half-hour to half-hour in nearly every key category, with gains of 8% in adults 18-49 (to a 1.3 rating from a 1.2), 22% in adults 18-34 (1.1 vs. 0.9) and 30% in women 18-34 (1.3 vs. 1.0). And that's despite running head to head versus Fox's third season premiere of "The X Factor" plus CBS's "Big Brother."

"America's Got Talent" (2.2/6 in 18-49, 10.1 million viewers overall from 9-10:01 p.m. ET) generated the #1 results of the night Fox in total viewers, scoring the biggest overall audience for a Wednesday "Talent" in five weeks (since the August 7 telecast averaged 10.3 million viewers).

Thursday: "The Million Second Quiz" (1.1/4 in adults 18-49, 4.2 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) scored a four-month high in the slot for NBC in adults 18-49, excluding sports, best since May 16. In total viewers, it was NBC's biggest overall audience in the time period, excluding sports, since July 4. Versus NBC's time-period average this summer, "Million Second Quiz" was up 57% in 18-49 rating (1.1 vs. 0.7, L+SD non-sports) and up 35% in total viewers (4.2 million vs. 3.1 million).

An encore "Hollywood Game Night" (1.0/3 in 18-49, 3.1 million viewers overall at 9 p.m. ET) grew versus its prior encore in this time period by 43% in 18-49 (1.0 vs. 0.7 on August 29). The 9 p.m. "Hollywood Game Night" encore out-rated ABC's original "Wipeout" in the time period in 18-49 (1.0 vs. 0.9) and total viewers (3.1 million vs. 3.0 million).

Another rebroadcast of "Hollywood Game Night" (1.0/3 in 18-49, 2.9 million viewers overall at 10 p.m. ET) matched the show's prior result in this time period with an original and tied ABC's original "Rookie Blue" for #1 in the hour among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49 (1.0 rating each).

Friday: NBC ranked #1 Friday night among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and total viewers with the #1 show of the night on those nets in all three categories, "Dateline NBC" (1.4/5 in 18-49, 6.7 million viewers overall from 9-11 p.m. ET). It was the highest Friday "Dateline" 18-49 rating since May 31 and top 25-54 and total-viewer result for a Friday "Dateline" since February 8. It's also the top 18-49 rating for any Friday telecast on ABC, CBS, NBC or Fox, excluding sports, since June 21 ("20/20," 1.5).

Friday's "Million Second Quiz" (0.8/3 in adults 18-49, 4.0 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) generated half-hour to half-hour growth of 29% in adult 18-49 rating (to a 0.9 from a 0.7). "The Million Second Quiz" finished within a tenth of a rating point of #1 in the slot among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49 and tied for #1 among those networks in men 18-49 and adults, men and women 18-34. "The Million Second Quiz" generated NBC's biggest overall audience in the Friday 8-9 p.m. ET hour since June 28.

Saturday: "The Million Second Quiz" (0.6/2 in adults 18-49, 2.9 million viewers overall at 8 p.m. ET) attracted NBC's biggest overall audience in the slot, excluding sports, in more than five months, (since March 30).

An encore telecast of "American Ninja Warrior" (0.8/3 in 18-49, 2.6 million viewers overall from 9-11 p.m. ET) captured the show's highest 18-49 and total-viewer results among nine Saturday encores this summer. These are NBC's top non-sports results in the time period since April 13.

Sunday: "Sunday Night Football" (8.4/24 in 18-49, 20.5 million viewers overall from 8:31-9:05 and from 10:05 to 12:13 a.m. ET, interrupted by severe weather), featuring the San Francisco 49ers at the Seattle Seahawks, scored the top total-viewer result for a primetime NFC West matchup in nearly 19 years (since a 49ers-Saints telecast on ABC November 28, 1994, 23.0 million). Sunday's telecast beat last season's 49ers-Seahawks "SNF" matchup on Dec. 23, 2012 by 25% in 18-49 rating (8.4 vs. 6.7) and 5% in total viewers (20.5 million vs. 19.5 million).

"Sunday Night Football" propelled NBC to a decisive Sunday win in all key measures, taking the night among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox by an 89 percent margin in adults 18-49 (6.6 vs. 3.5 for #2 CBS).
