Adult Swim Achieves First-Time #1 Primetime Ranking Among Coveted Adults & Men 18-34, Setting New Records for Summer 2013
For Seven Straight Months, Total Day Delivery Average Also Ranks #1 with Adults 18-34 & 18-49,

As summer 2013 draws to a close, Adult Swim for the first time in its history will rank #1 among basic cable networks for Primetime delivery of adults 18-34 and men 18-34, according to Nielsen Media Research. The young adult-targeted network also is on track to making summer 2013 its most-watched summer in its history for Total Day delivery of adults 18-34, 18-49 and 18-24, and men 18-34 and 18-24. Compared to the same time period in 2012, Adult Swim's average Primetime delivery performance expanded by significant double-digits, ranging between 13% and 29%.
Similarly, for the seventh month in a row (February-August 2013), Adult Swim's average Total Day delivery performance ranked #1 across all basic cable networks among adults 18-34, 18-49 & 18-24 and men 18-34, 18-49 and 18-24. Average Total Day delivery also grew across the board, ranging between 6% and 16%. The network also increased its Total Day lead over summer 2013's second place cable network (ESPN) among men 18-34 (by 125%) and men 18-49 (by 61%). Original programming as well - including The Venture Bros. (5th Season), Primetime Emmy-winning Childrens Hospital (5th Season) and NTSF:SD:SUV:: (3rd Season) - grew targeted deliveries significantly with new episode premieres during the summer time period.
Highlights of Adult Swim's summer 2013 performance, compared to the same 2012 time period, include the following:
PRIMETIME
· Adults 18-34 average delivery (555,000) increased by 19%, and ratings (0.8) by 14%
· Adults 18-49 average delivery (779,000) increased by 14%, and ratings (0.6) by 20%
· Adults 18-24 average delivery (287,000) increased by 25%, and ratings (1.0) by 25%
· Men 18-34 average delivery (304,000) increased by 18%, and ratings (0.9) by 13%
· Men 18-49 average delivery (407,000) increased by 13%, and ratings (0.6) were unchanged
· Men 18-24 average delivery (161,000) increased by 29%, and ratings (1.1) by 22%
· Total Viewers 2+ average delivery (1,490,000) and ratings (0.5) were unchanged
TOTAL DAY
· Adults 18-34 average delivery (564,000) increased by 11%, and ratings (0.8) by 14%
· Adults 18-49 average delivery (766,000) increased by 9%, and ratings (0.6) were unchanged
· Adults 18-24 average delivery (318,000) increased by 16%, and ratings (1.1) by 10%
· Men 18-34 average delivery (329,000) increased by 10%, and ratings (1.0) by 11%
· Men 18-49 average delivery (431,000) increased by 6%, and ratings (0.7) by 17%
· Men 18-24 average delivery (187,000) increased by 15%, and ratings (1.3) by 18%
· Total Viewers 2+ average delivery (1,367,000) and ratings (0.5) were unchanged
Among Adult Swim's original programming, Childrens Hospital (Thursdays, 12 a.m.) - winner of the 2012 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Special Class Short-format Live-Action Entertainment Program - presented new episodes of its 5th season that earned mostly double-digit delivery gains among targeted demos, ranging between 7% and 21%. Returning original series The Venture Bros. (Sunday, 12 a.m.) ranked #1 on basic cable across summer 2013 in the timeslot among all targeted male demos 18-24, 18-34 & 18-49, with new episodes increasing average delivery of these same demos by double digits - between 38% and 54% - vs. the same time period in 2012. And NTSF:SD:SUV:: also presented new episodes that increased delivery of targeted adults and young men by significant double-digit gains (19% - 29%).
