Friday Primetime Results:
* From 8-10 p.m. ET, "Dateline NBC" (1.1/4 in 18-49, 5.3 million viewers overall) reported NBC's highest 18-49 rating in the two-hour time period in six weeks (since April 5) and biggest total-viewer result in the slot in 11 weeks (since March 1). "Dateline" ranked #2 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in the time period in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and total viewers.
* From 10-11 p.m. ET, "Rock Center with Brian Williams" (1.3/4 in 18-49, 5.1 million viewers overall) scored its second-highest adult 18-49 and total-viewer results in three months (since February 8), trailing over that span only the April 19 series-record rating with coverage of the capture of the Boston bombing suspect. In adults 25-54 (1.8 rating), it's the #2 "Rock Center" in eight months (since Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012). In the time period, "Rock Center" is #2 among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and total viewers and tied for #1 in women 25-54.
* Week to week, "Rock Center" is up 18 percent gain in adults 18-49 (to a 1.3 rating from a 1.1), up 20 percent in adults 25-54 (1.8 vs. 1.5) and up 6 percent in total viewers (5.073 million vs. 4.776 million). It's the third week in a row "Rock Center" has grown week to week in 25-54 and total viewers.
In Late-Night Metered Markets Friday night:
* In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 3.0/7; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.0/5; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.2/5 with an encore.
* In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 Wednesday results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.9/4; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.7/3 with an encore.
* From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET Wednesday night, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.4/4 in metered-market households and a 0.5/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
* From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.5/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.0/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.6/4 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/1).
* At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.9/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.4/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
