Friday Primetime Results:
* At 8 p.m. ET, "Fashion Star" (0.7/3 in 18-49, 3.0 million viewers overall) maintained its 18-49 rating week to week and is currently reporting a season high in total viewers with a 10 percent increase over last week's overall audience (3.008 million vs. 2.730 million), pending updates. "Fashion Star" is currently #2 in the hour among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in total viewers.
* At 9 p.m. ET, "Dateline NBC" (1.2/4 in 18-49, 5.2 million viewers overall) ranked #2 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in the time period in adults 18-49, 18-34 and 25-54. From its first half-hour to its second, "Dateline" grew by 27 percent in adults 18-49 (to a 1.4 rating from a 1.1), 20 percent in adults 25-54 (1.8 vs. 1.5) and 16 percent in total viewers (5.7 million vs. 4.9 million). "Dateline" built on its lead-in by 71 percent in 18-49 rating and 73 percent in total viewers.
* From 10-11 p.m. ET, "Rock Center with Brian Williams" (1.1/3 in 18-49, 4.2 million viewers overall) scored its second-highest adult 18-49 rating in 11 weeks (since February 15), trailing over that span only the April 19 series-record rating with coverage of the capture of the Boston bombing suspect. In total viewers and adults 25-54, it's the #2 "Rock Center" in nine weeks (since March 1). Week to week, "Rock Center" is up 22 percent in adults 18-49 (to a 1.1 rating from a 0.9), up 17 percent in adults 25-54 (1.4 vs. 1.2) and up 12 percent in total viewers (4.208 million vs. 3.742 million).
In Late-Night Metered Markets Friday night:
* In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 2.3/5; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.4/6; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.1/5 with an encore.
* In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 Wednesday results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.6/3; "Late Show," 0.5/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.8/3 with an encore.
* From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET Wednesday night, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.3/4 in metered-market households and a 0.5/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
* From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.3/4 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.1/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/1).
* At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/1 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
