CBS Maintains Season-to-Date Leadership in All Key Measures
Led by NCIS, CBS had the week's top five series in viewers for the first time this season and the top two series in adults 18-49, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending March 10, Week 24 of the 2012-2013 television season.
NCIS, THE BIG BANG THEORY, NCIS: LOS ANGELES, PERSON OF INTEREST and TWO AND A HALF MEN led the week in viewers.
Among adults 18-49, CBS had the top two broadcasts and five of the top 10 - more than any other network. CBS had the week's top two broadcasts/comedies (THE BIG BANG THEORY and TWO AND A HALF MEN) and top three broadcast dramas (NCIS, NCIS: LOS ANGELES (tie) and PERSON OF INTEREST (tie)) in adults 18-49. Both comedies finished ahead of all three editions of "American Idol."
Among adults 25-54, CBS had the top three broadcasts with THE BIG BANG THEORY, TWO AND A HALF MEN and NCIS, and six of the top 10 broadcasts - more than the other networks combined. CBS had the week's top three broadcast dramas in adults 25-54 with NCIS, NCIS: LOS ANGELES and PERSON OF INTEREST.
Season-to-date, CBS remains first in adults 18-49 (3.1/09, +0.5 rating points ahead of second-place FOX, +19%), adults 25-54 (4.0/10, +1.0 rating points ahead of second-place NBC, +33%) and viewers (12.40m, +4.55 million ahead of second-place ABC).
For the week in viewers, CBS (9.35m), FOX (7.48m), ABC (5.41m) and NBC (3.53m). Season-to-date in viewers: CBS (12.40m), ABC (7.85m), NBC (7.36m) and FOX (7.13m).
For the week in key demographics, CBS was second in both adults 25-54 (2.7/07) and adults 18-49 (1.9/05). Season-to-date, CBS is first in adults 25-54 (4.0/10) and adults 18-49 (3.1/09).
For the week in households: CBS (6.0/10), FOX (4.5/07), ABC (3.5/06) and NBC (2.3/04). Season-to-date in households: CBS (7.6/12), ABC (5.0/08), NBC (4.6/07) and FOX (4.3/07).

RULES OF ENGAGEMENT (4.4/07, 6.92m) was tied for first in adults 25-54 (3.1/07, with ABC).
NCIS was first in households (12.9/19), viewers (20.81m), adults 25-54 (5.2/13) and adults 18-49 (3.4/10). NCIS beat NBC, ABC, FOX and CW combined by +500,000 viewers (vs. 20.31m). NCIS posted more than 20 million viewers live plus same day for the last seven first-run episodes. NCIS beat an "American Idol" broadcast in their common hour for the first time ever in both adults 25-54 (+0.8 rating points) and adults 18-49 (+0.1 rating points) and by the largest margin ever in households (+6.3 rating points - nearly matching "American Idol's" 6.6 household rating) and viewers (+9.69m).
NCIS: LOS ANGELES was first in households (10.0/15) and viewers (16.24m), and was second in both adults 25-54 (4.3/10) and adults 18-49 (2.8/07). NCIS: LOS ANGELES beat an "American Idol" broadcast in their common hour for the first time ever in households (+2.6 rating points) and viewers (+3.91m), and was in its closest competitive position in both adults 25-54 (-0.4 rating points) and adults 18-49 (-0.8 rating points).
GOLDEN BOY was first in households (6.2/10), viewers (9.40m), adults 25-54 (2.5/06) and adults 18-49 (1.6/05). GOLDEN BOY beat the competition combined in viewers by +140,000 viewers (vs. 9.26m).
SURVIVOR: CARAMOAN was second in households (6.0/09), viewers (9.58m), adults 25-54 (3.7/09) and adults 18-49 (2.6/07). Compared to last week, SURVIVOR: CARAMOAN was up +5% in households (from 5.7/09), +3% in adults 25-54 (from 3.6/09), was even in adults 18-49 and added +410,000 viewers (from 9.17m, +4%).
THE BIG BANG THEORY (8:00-8:31 PM) was first in households (10.5/17), viewers (17.63m), adults 25-54 (7.1/19), adults 18-49 (5.5/17) and adults 18-34 (3.9/14). Compared to the last first-run episode (on Feb. 21, 2013), THE BIG BANG THEORY was even in both adults 25-54 and adults 18-34 and added +10,000 viewers (from 17.62m). THE BIG BANG THEORY was the night's #1 program in households, viewers, adults 25-54, adults 18-49 and adults 18-34.
TWO AND A HALF MEN was first in households (8.3/13), viewers (13.54m), adults 25-54 (5.3/13) and adults 18-49 (3.9/11). TWO AND A HALF MEN beat "American Idol" in the common half-hour in adults 18-49 (3.9/11 vs. 3.5/10, +11%) for the first time ever. Compared to the last first-run episode (on Feb. 21, 2013), TWO AND A HALF MEN was up +2% in both households (from 8.1/12) and adults 25-54 (from 5.2/12), was even in adults 18-49 and added +130,000 viewers (from 13.41m, +1%).
PERSON OF INTEREST was first in households (9.1/14), viewers (14.57m) and adults 25-54 (4.2/10), and was second in adults 18-49 (2.8/08). In the 9:30 PM half-hour, PERSON OF INTEREST beat "Glee" in adults 18-49 (2.8/08 vs. 2.6/07, +8%). Compared to the last first-run episode (on Feb. 21, 2013), PERSON OF INTEREST was up +5% in households (from 8.7/13), +2% in adults 25-54 (from 4.1/09) and added +350,000 viewers (from 14.22m, +2%).
UNDERCOVER BOSS was first in households (4.8/08) and viewers (7.33m), and was tied for first with ABC in both adults 25-54 (2.1/06) and adults 18-49 (1.4/05).
BLUE BLOODS was first in households (6.9/12), viewers (10.72m) and adults 25-54 (2.3/06), and was second in adults 18-49 (1.4/04). Compared to the last first-run episode (on Feb. 22, 2013), BLUE BLOODS was up +5% in adults 25-54 (from 2.2/06) and was even in adults 18-49.
60 MINUTES was first in households (7.5/13), viewers (11.59m), adults 25-54 (2.6/07) and adults 18-49 (1.6/05).
THE AMAZING RACE was first in households (5.5/09), viewers (9.27m), adults 25-54 (3.4/08) and adults 18-49 (2.4/07). Compared to last week, THE AMAZING RACE was up +4% in adults 25-54 (from 3.3/08) and added +30,000 viewers (from 9.24m).
THE MENTALIST was first in households (6.1/10) and viewers (9.52m), was tied for first in adults 25-54 (2.4/05, with NBC) and was second in adults 18-49 (1.7/04). Compared to last week, THE MENTALIST was up +9% in adults 25-54 (from 2.2/05), +13% in adults 18-49 (from 1.5/04), was even in households and added +280,000 viewers (from 9.24m, +3%).
