"FACE OFF" REIGNS OVER MORE THAN ONE MILLION ADULTS 18-49
SEASON 4 PREMIERE GROWS VS. PRIOR PREMIERE IN KEY DEMOS
NEW YORK - January 16, 2013 - Syfy's hit show Face Off returned for its fourth season by improving in both Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54 over the season three premiere. With 130K page views, Face Off ranked as the #1 show site on Syfy.com. Face Off's Sync earned 39K page views, 1K uniques and 1K visits with an average time spent per visit of over 11 minutes, the 2nd best Sync ever across all key metrics (behind only Face Off's season 3 premiere on 8/21/12). Boosted by Face Off's Sync, the Syfy Channel Tablet App had its best day in page views (160K), uniques (7K) and visits (8K) since 8/21/12 and its best day in time spent (6.6 minutes) since 10/31/12.
Next week's all-new episode of Face Off, airing Tuesday, January 22 at 9PM (ET/PT), will have an infusion of super powers in the form of DC Entertainment's Co-Publishers Dan DiDio and Jim Lee, along with six of DC's most respected artists. In the episode, the 13 remaining special effects make-up artists will be challenged to create their own Super Heroes. Filmed in the midst of San Diego Comic-Con 2012, each contestant was paired with a DC Entertainment artist to receive creative input and assistance with their designs. An outstanding array of talent participated in the process including Jim Lee, Mark Buckingham (Fables), Cliff Chiang (Wonder Woman), Tony S. Daniel (Action Comics), David Finch (Batman: The Dark Knight), Nicola Scott (Earth 2) and J.H. Williams, III (Batwoman). And not only are the contestants battling to continue on in the competition, but the winning design will also be featured in the January 30th release of Justice League Dark #16.
Face Off's Peter Ney was recently nominated for a Director's Guild of America award for the season three episode "Scene of the Crime." Winners will be announced at the 65th annual DGA Awards Dinner on February 2 in Los Angeles.
Face Off is a production of Mission Control Media with Dwight D. Smith, Michael Agbabian and Derek Atherton serving as executive producers.
