THE BIG BANG THEORY was the week's top entertainment program in both viewers and adults 18-49, leading CBS to its fourth straight win in viewers to open the season, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Oct. 21, Week Four of the 2012-2013 season.

CBS had 10 of the top 20 programs of the week in viewers - with the Network's top program, 60 MINUTES, ranked second overall - and nine of the top 20 in adults 18-49, more than any other network.

CBS had the top three scripted programs in viewers (THE BIG BANG THEORY, PERSON OF INTEREST and TWO AND A HALF MEN), as well as eight of the top 10 (CRIMINAL MINDS, ELEMENTARY, CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION, BLUE BLOODS and THE GOOD WIFE).

CBS prime programs growing week-to-week included HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, PARTNERS, MIKE & MOLLY, HAWAII FIVE-0, SURVIVOR, CRIMINAL MINDS, THE BIG BANG THEORY, TWO AND A HALF MEN, 48 HOURS, 60 MINUTES THE AMAZING RACE and THE GOOD WIFE.

TWO AND A HALF MEN posted its best ratings of the season in viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54, while VEGAS and ELEMENTARY remain the season's top two new series in viewers.

For the week in viewers: CBS (10.33m), ABC (7.99m), NBC (7.49m) and FOX (5.54m). Season-to-date, CBS is first in viewers (11.32m), ahead of ABC (8.77m), NBC (8.43m) and FOX (6.52m).

For the week in key demographics, CBS was first in adults 25-54 (3.3/08) and a strong second in adults 18-49 (2.5/07, -0.1 behind NBC).

For the week in households: CBS (6.6/11), ABC (5.2/08), NBC (4.7/08) and FOX (3.5/06). Season-to-date, CBS is first in households (7.2/12), ahead of ABC (5.7/09), NBC (5.3/09) and FOX (4.0/06).

In the Monday to Friday 10:00 PM hour, CBS was first in households (6.6/11), viewers (10.14m), adults 25-54 (2.8/07) and adults 18-49 (2.0/06). Season-to-date, CBS is first in households (8.0/13), viewers (12.35m), adults 25-54 (3.5/09) and adults 18-49 (2.5/07).

CBS Weekly Highlights:

HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER (4.9/08, 7.93m) was second in adults 25-54 (3.5/09), adults 18-49 (3.2/09) and adults 18-34 (2.9/10). Compared to last week, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER was +3% in adults 18-49 (from 3.1/09), +4% in adults 18-34 (from 2.8/09), was even in households, and added +110,000 viewers (from 7.82m, +1%).

PARTNERS (3.7/06, 6.08m) was tied for second in adults 18-49 (2.1/05, with ABC). Compared to last week, PARTNERS was up +4% in adults 25-54 (2.5/06 from 2.4/05), +11% in adults 18-49 (from 1.9/05), was even in households, and added +370,000 viewers (from 5.71m, +6%).

2 BROKE GIRLS (5.7/08, 9.30m) was second in adults 25-54 (4.2/09) and adults 18-49 (3.4/08). 2 BROKE GIRLS was the night's #1 scripted program in both adults 25-54 and adults 18-49.

MIKE & MOLLY (5.5/08, 9.10m) was second in adults 25-54 (4.0/08) and adults 18-49 (3.0/07). Compared to last week, MIKE & MOLLY was up +2% in households (from 5.4/08), +5% in adults 25-54 (from 3.8/08), +7% in adults 18-49 (from 2.8/07), and added +440,000 viewers (from 8.67m, +5%).

HAWAII FIVE-0 was second in households (5.6/09), viewers (8.70m) and adults 18-49 (2.1/05). Compared to last week, HAWAII FIVE-0 was up +6% in households (from 5.3/08), +8% in adults 25-54 (2.8/07 from 2.6/06), +11% in adults 18-49 (from 1.9/05) and added +310,000 viewers (from 8.39m, +4%).

-- On Wednesday, CBS was first in households (7.0/11), viewers (10.96m), adults 25-54 (3.6/09) and adults 18-49 (2.8/08).

SURVIVOR: PHILIPPINES was first in households (6.5/10), viewers (10.43m), adults 25-54 (3.8/10) and adults 18-49 (2.8/08). Compared to last week, SURVIVOR: PHILIPPINES was up +7% in households (from 6.1/10), was even in both adults 25-54 and adults 18-49, and added +610,000 viewers (from 9.82m, +6%).

CRIMINAL MINDS was first in households (7.5/11) and viewers (11.81m), and was second in adults 25-54 (3.9/09) and adults 18-49 (3.1/08). CRIMINAL MINDS was up +3% each in households (from 7.3/11), adults 25-54 (from 3.8/09) and adults 18-49 (from 3.0/08), and added +320,000 viewers (from 11.49m, +3%) compared to last week.

CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION was first in households (7.0/11), viewers (10.63m), adults 25-54 (3.2/08) and adults 18-49 (2.3/07).

-- On Thursday, CBS was first in households (8.3/13), viewers (13.20m), adults 25-54 (4.3/10), adults 18-49 (3.2/09) and adults 18-34 (1.8/06).

THE BIG BANG THEORY swept its time period, finishing first in households (9.7/16), viewers (15.73m), adults 25-54 (6.4/17), adults 18-49 (4.8/15) and adults 18-34 (3.2/11). THE BIG BANG THEORY was the night's #1 program in households, viewers, adults 25-54, adults 18-49 and adults 18-34. Compared to last week, THE BIG BANG THEORY was up +7% in both households (from 9.1/15) and adults 18-49 (from 4.5/13), +12% in adults 25-54 (from 5.7/15), down -6% in adults 18-34 (from 3.4/12), and added +1.50m viewers (from 14.23m, +11%).

TWO AND A HALF MEN was first in households (8.5/13), viewers (13.60m), adults 25-54 (5.2/13) and adults 18-49 (4.0/11). TWO AND A HALF MEN posted its best deliveries in these measures since moving to Thursday.

PERSON OF INTEREST was first in households (8.7/13) and viewers (13.93m), and was second in both adults 25-54 (3.9/09) and adults 18-49 (2.8/07).

ELEMENTARY was first in households (7.0/12), viewers (10.91m), adults 25-54 (3.1/08) and adults 18-49 (2.3/06).

CSI: NY was first in households (6.3/11) and viewers (9.48m).

BLUE BLOODS won its time slot in households (6.8/12) and viewers (10.29m), and was tied for second in adults 25-54 (2.0/05, with ABC).

48 HOURS was first in households (3.9/07) and viewers (5.50m), and was second in adults 25-54 (1.5/04) and adults 18-49 (1.0/03). Compared to last week, 48 HOURS was up +8% in households (from 3.6/06), +7% in adults 25-54 (from 1.4/04), was even in adults 18-49, and added +530,000 viewers (from 4.97m, +11%). 48 HOURS posted its best delivery in households, viewers and adults 25-54 since May 12, 2012.

-- On Sunday, CBS was first in both households (9.8/15) and viewers (15.60m), and was second in both adults 25-54 (5.4/12) and adults 18-49 (4.3/11).

CBS's late-running football averaged a 17.1/29 with 28.23m viewers, 11.0/29 in adults 25-54 and 9.5/28 in adults 18-49 from 7:00-7:56 PM.

60 MINUTES (7:56-8:56 PM) was first in households (10.0/15) and viewers (15.86m), and was second behind football in both adults 25-54 (4.8/11) and adults 18-49 (3.6/09). Compared to last week, 60 MINUTES was up +33% in households (from 7.5/12), +66% in adults 25-54 (from 2.9/07), +80% in adults 18-49 (from 2.0/06) and added +4.28m viewers (from 11.58m, +37%).

THE AMAZING RACE 21 (8:56-9:56 PM) was second in households (6.0/09), viewers (9.54m) and adults 25-54 (3.5/07), and averaged 2.0/06 in adults 18-49. Compared to last week, THE AMAZING RACE was up +9% in households (from 5.5/08), +3% in adults 25-54 (from 3.4/08), was even in adults 18-49 and added +430,000 viewers (from 9.11m, +5%).

THE GOOD WIFE (9:56-10:56 PM) was second in households (6.8/11), viewers (10.02m) and adults 25-54 (2.7/06), and averaged 1.9/05 in adults 18-49. Compared to last week, THE GOOD WIFE was up +8% in households (from 6.3/09), +13% in adults 25-54 (from 2.4/05), +12% in adults 18-49 (from 1.7/04), and added +900,000 viewers (from 9.12m, +10%). THE GOOD WIFE posted its best deliveries in households, viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 since April 22, 2012.
