It's also the biggest overall audience for a primetime NFL telecast versus a Major League Baseball League Championship Series game since October 14, 1996 (49ers-Packers on ABC, 26.5 million).

For the night (from 7:30-11 p.m. ET), NBC averaged a 6.6/17 in 18-49 and 17.2 million viewers overall, to win the night in total viewers by 69 percent over the second-place network (17.2 million vs. 10.1 million for CBS).
