DISCOVERY CHANNEL'S "YUKON MEN" TAKES THE #1 FRIDAY SPOT
(Silver Spring, Md.) - Discovery Channel's freshman series YUKON MEN was the top program in cable among Men (excluding sports) and easily dominated this past Friday night. YUKON MEN once again produced big ratings on Friday, September 21 at 10pm ET/PT. YUKON MEN was the #1 non-sports program in cable among M25-54. Earning a 1.20 HH / 0.81 P25-54, the one-hour program delivered an average of 1.67 million viewers P2+.
In this past episode of YUKON MEN, the rivers around Tanana have been dangerously melting. Most of the hunters have made the deadly journey back home but Charlie's brother-in-law, George, went missing. The search and rescue efforts were sadly
unsuccessful. A town of 200 people was forced to face a shocking reality when one of their own was lost for good.
YUKON MEN follows the residents of Tanana, Alaska as they face one of the most brutal winters on record. People struggle to find food and heat; battle life-threatening predators just to survive. Boys grow into men quickly here because they must help the family survive. Father-son bonding and tensions take on a new meaning in this environment. The stakes are high in Tanana, and to defy the odds, to survive and to battle the harsh Alaskan wilderness, the residents must overcome obstacles, stick together and prevail.
YUKON MEN returns this Friday, September 28 at 10pm ET/PT.
