UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - July 17, 2012 - With "America's Got Talent" tying for the #1 among non-sports telecast on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox, marking the seventh week in a row it's ranked #1 or tied for #1 on that list, NBC has averaged a 1.1 rating, 3 share in adults 18-49 and 4.4 million viewers overall for the week of July 9-15, according to "live plus same day" viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research. "Talent" was also #1 in total viewers for the week among non-sports telecasts on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox, marking the seventh week in a row it's been #1 outright on that list.

Among NBC's top-ranked programs for the week, Tuesday's "America's Got Talent" tied for #2 in adults 18-49 on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox among all programs (and tied for #1 among non-sports programs), Wednesday's "Talent" tied for #10 and Monday's "American Ninja Warrior" and "Fear Factor" tied for #19 (rankings exclude sports pre-and post-game shows).

"America's Got Talent" has delivered the eight highest 18-49 ratings among all primetime non-sports telecasts on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox since the end of the May sweep on May 23, as well as the top 10 non-sports telecasts in total viewers.

Primetime averages for the week of July 9-15 in adults 18-49 were: Fox (1.7/6), ABC (1.3/4), CBS (1.1/4), NBC (1.1/4) and CW (0.3/1). In overall total viewers, the weekly averages were: CBS (5.5 million), Fox (4.9 million), ABC (4.5 million), NBC (4.4 million) and CW (0.7 million).

For the 2011-12 broadcast year to date, NBC is tied for #3 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49 rating and is #3 outright ahead of ABC in viewers 18-49. NBC is the only network among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox that's up versus one year ago in viewers 18-49. NBC is also #2 in adults 18-34 for the broadcast year to date. Averages for the broadcast year through 43 weeks are: Fox (2.9/8), CBS (2.7/8), NBC (2.3/7), ABC (2.3/7) and CW (0.7/2). In overall total viewers, the broadcast-year averages are: CBS (10.7 million), Fox (8.2 million), ABC (7.9 million), NBC (7.1 million) and CW (1.5 million).

NBC highlights for the week of July 9-15

* On Monday, "Fear Factor" and "American Ninja Warrior" improved on NBC's 18-49 averages in those respective time periods last summer by 27 percent each. .

* On Tuesday, "America's Got Talent" scored the night's #1 non-sports ratings in 18-49 and total-viewers with a 22 percent jump versus the prior week's Tuesday rating in 18-49 and a 35 percent gain looking solely at the 9-10 p.m. ET week to week.

* On Wednesday, "America's Got Talent" tied for the #1 rating of the night in 18-49 and was #1 for the night outright in total viewers. .

* Also on Wednesday, an encore "Betty White's Off Their Rockers" equaled NBC's highest non-sports rating in the 8 p.m. ET half-hour since May 23 and a rebroadcast "Law & Order: SVU" was #1 in the 10 p.m. hour among ABC, CBS and NBC in 18-49.

* On Thursday, "Rock Center" tied for #1 in its time period among ABC, CBS and NBC in 18-49 with the show's highest 18-49 and total-viewer results since January 23.

* Also on Thursday, "Saving Hope" grew week to week in total viewers by 1.0 million persons or 46 percent.

* On Friday, "Dateline NBC" ranked #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC for its second hour from 10-11 p.m. ET in adults 18-49, having built from its first half-hour to its fourth by 67 percent in 18-49 rating.

* Also on Friday, "Whitney" grew 0.2 of a point week to week to report a summer high in 18-49 rating.

* On Sunday, "Dateline NBC" built from its first half-hour to its fourth by 1.3 million viewers to move into first place among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox for its final half-hour from 8:30-9 p.m. ET in total viewers.

Ratings reflect "live plus same day" data unless otherwise noted. Season-to-date figures are averages of "live plus seven day" data except for the two most recent weeks, which are "live plus same day."

On Monday, July 9 from 8-9 p.m. ET, "Fear Factor" averaged a 1.4 rating, 4 share in adults 18-49 and 4.0 million viewers overall. From its first half-hour to its second, "Fear Factor" grew by 8 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.4 from a 1.3). Versus NBC's average in this time period last summer, "Fear Factor" was up 27 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.4 from a 1.1, "live plus same day," non-sports).

Monday from 9-10 p.m. ET, "American Ninja Warrior" delivered a 1.4/4 in 18-49 and 4.0 million viewers overall. Versus NBC's average in this time period last summer, "American Ninja Warrior" was up 27 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.4 from a 1.1, "live plus same day," non-sports).

Monday at 10 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Grimm" averaged a 0.6/2 in 18-49 and 2.1 million viewers overall.

On Tuesday, July 10, from 8-10 p.m. ET, "America's Got Talent" (2.8/9 in 18-49, 10.7 million viewers overall) grew versus results for the prior Tuesday by 22 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 2.8 from a 2.3) and by 15 percent or 1.4 million persons in total viewers (10.7 million vs. 9.3 million). Counting just its second hour from 9-10 p.m. ET versus the prior week's 9-10 p.m. telecast, "Talent" was up week to week by 35 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 3.1 from a 2.3) and 24 percent or 2.2 million persons in total viewers (11.5 million vs.9.3 million). From its first half-hour to its fourth, this week's "Talent" grew by 33 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 3.2 from a 2.4) and 27 percent or 2.4 million persons in total viewers (11.7 million vs. 9.3 million). "America's Got Talent" scored the top non-sports results of the night on ABC, CBS and NBC in 18-49 and total viewers and was the #`1 non-sports program in its slot among those networks in 18-49, total viewers and all other key ratings categories. "Talent" delivered a 115 percent margin in 18-49 versus ABC's original time-period competition of "Wipeout" and the debut of "Trust Us With Your Life" (with a 2.8 rating from 8-10 p.m. vs. ABC's 1.3)

Tuesday from 10-11 p.m. ET, "Love in the Wild" (1.2/4 in 18-49, 4.2 million viewers overall) matched the prior week's 1.2 rating in adults 18-49, despite this week's competition from Fox's coverage of the Major League Baseball All-Star Game. In total viewers, "Love in the Wild" was up week to week by 1 percent (4.2 million vs. 4.1 million) despite the baseball competition. "Love in the Wild" tied as the time period's top non-sports choice on ABC, CBS or NBC in adults 18-49 with ABC's premiere of "NY Med."

For Tuesday night, NBC is the #1 non-sports choice among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49, total viewers and all other key ratings categories.

On Wednesday, July 11 at 8 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Betty White's Off Their Rockers" (1.2/4 in 18-49, 4.5 million viewers overall) matched NBC's top non-sports rating in the half-hour since May 23 and delivered the network's biggest overall audience in the slot, excluding sports, since that same date. Week to week, "Off Their Rockers" was up 20 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.2 from a 1.0) and up 14 percent in total viewers (4.5 million vs. 4.0 million). In the time period, "Off Their Rockers" is #2 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, adults 25-54, total viewers and other key measures.

Wednesday at 8:30 ET, a rebroadcast of "Up All Night" averaged a 0.7/2 in 18-49 and 2.7 million viewers overall. Week to week, "Up All Night" grew by 22 percent in total viewers (2.7 million vs. 2.2 million).

Wednesday from 9-10 p.m. ET, the "America's Got Talent" Results Show (2.0/6 in 18-49, 8.1 million viewers overall) tied for the #1 18-49 rating of the night and is #1 outright for the night in total viewers and other key categories. "Talent" led its time period in 18-49, total viewers and other key measures and built on its lead-in by 186 percent in 18-49 rating. From its first half-hour to its second, "Talent" increased by 22 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 2.2 from a 1.8) and by 22 percent or 1.6 million persons in total viewers (8.9 million vs. 7.3 million). For its final half-hour from 9:30-10 p.m., "America's Got Talent" ranked #1 outright in 18-49, with a 16 percent advantage for that half-hour over Fox's second-place "So You Think You Can Dance" (with a 2.2 rating vs. a 1.9).

Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (1.2/4 in 18-49, 4.8 million viewers overall) finished #1 in the time period among ABC, CBS and NBC in 18-49 ahead of CBS's "CSI" encore (1.1) and ABC's original "Final Witness" (1.1). "SVU" also led the slot among those networks in adults 25-54 with a 1.6 rating and captured summer highs in 18-49, 25-54 and total viewers. Versus its prior rebroadcast in this time period on June 20, "Law & Order: SVU" is up 33 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.2 from a 0.9) and up 14 percent in total viewers (4.8 million vs. 4.2 million).

On Thursday, July 12 at 8 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "The Office" averaged a 0.6/2 in 18-49 and 2.0 million viewers overall, and at 8:30, a rebroadcast of "Parks and Recreation" delivered a 0.5/2 in 18-49 and 1.6 million viewers overall.

Thursday at 9 p.m. ET, "Saving Hope" averaged a 0.5/2 in 18-49 and 3.2 million viewers overall. "Saving Hope" grew from its first half-hour to its second by of a tenth of a rating point in 18-49 (to a 0.6 from a 0.5) and by 7 percent in total viewers (3.3 million vs. 3.1 million). "Saving Hope" was up week to week by a tenth of a rating point in 18-49 and 46 percent or 1.0 million persons in total viewers (to 3.216 million vs. 2.197 million).

Thursday at 10 p.m. ET, "Rock Center" (1.2/4 in 18-49, 5.3 million viewers overall) reported its highest 18-49 and total-viewer results since January 23, the night of a two-hour telecast that featured a Republican Presidential Candidates Debate. In the time period, "Rock Center" tied for #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49 and 25-54. Week to week, "Rock Center" was up 33 percent in 18-49 (to a 1.2 vs. a 0.9) and 61 percent or 2.0 million persons in total viewers (5.3 million vs. 3.3 million) and versus two weeks earlier, "Rock Center" was up 50 percent in 18-49 (1.2 vs. 0.8). Compared with NBC's averages in the time period last summer, this week's "Rock Center" was up 33 percent in 18-49 (1.2 vs. 0.9, L+SD non-sports) and 107 percent in total viewers (5.329 million vs. 2.579 million). This week's "Rock Center" included reports on the Church of Scientology, a Syrian rebel commander and the aftermath of the Costa Concordia shipwreck

"Rock Center" grew from its first half-hour to its second by 18 percent in adults 18-49 (to a 1.3 rating from a 1.1), 21 percent in adults 25-54 (1.7 vs. 1.4) and 16 percent in total viewers (5.7 million vs. 4.9 million) to rank #1 outright from 10:30-11 p.m. ET among ABC, CBS and NBC in 18-49, 25-54 and total viewers.

Friday, July 13 at 8 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "Whitney" (0.7/3 in 18-49, 2.4 million viewers overall) grew 0.2 of a point in 18-49 week to week to score its top demo rating of the summer to date. In total viewers, "Whitney" grew week to week by 19 percent (2.4 million vs. 2.0 million) to deliver its biggest audience since June 8.

Friday at 8:30 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast of "Community" (0.5/2 in 18-49, 1.4 million viewers overall) grew week to week by 0.1 of a rating point in 18-49 and 26 percent in total viewers (to 1.4 million from 1.1 million) to earn the show's top 18-49 rating since June 15 and biggest overall audience since June 8..

Friday from 9-11 p.m. ET, "Dateline NBC" (1.2/4 in 18-49, 4.5 million viewers overall) grew 20 percent week to week in 18-49 rating (to a 1.2 from a 1.0) and 12 percent in total viewers (4.5 million vs. 4.0 million), to match the show's highest Friday 18-49 rating since June 1. In its two-hour time period, "Dateline" ranked #2 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49 and 25-54. From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Dateline" grew by 67 percent in adults 18-49 (to a 1.5 rating from a 0.9), by 58 percent in adults 25-54 (1.9 vs. 1.2) and by 94 percent or 3.0 million persons in total viewers (6.1 million vs. 3.1 million).

For its second hour from 10-11 p.m. ET, "Dateline NBC" ranked #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49 (with a 1.4 rating vs. a 1.3 for ABC's second-place "20/20"), adults 25-54 (1.8 vs. a 1.7 for "20/20") and total viewers (5.6 million vs. 5.0 million for CBS's second-place "Blue Bloods" encore).

On Saturday, July 14, from 8-10 p.m. ET, the "NBC Movie of the Week" "An American Girl: McKenna Shoots for the Stars" averaged a 0.4/2 in 18-49 and 1.7 million viewers overall and ranked #1 in the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in kids 2-11 and teens 12-17. From its first half-hour to its fourth, "McKenna Shoots for the Stars" grew by 32 percent in total viewers (to 1.9 million from 1.5 million).

Saturday at 10 p.m. ET, "The Firm" averaged a 0.3/1 in 18-49 and 1.8 million viewers overall. From its first half-hour to its second, "The Firm" grew by 6 percent in total viewers (to 1.9 million from 1.8 million).

On Sunday, July 15, from 7-9 p.m. ET, "Dateline NBC" averaged a 0.8/3 in 18-49 and 5.2 million viewers overall. From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Dateline" grew by 43 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.0 from a 0.7) and 27 percent or 1.3 million persons in total viewers (6.1 million vs. 4.8 million).
