UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - July 3, 2012 - With NBC Sports' coverage of the "U.S. Olympic Team Trials" and "America's Got Talent" accounting for the top five telecasts on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in viewers 18-49, NBC has finished #1 in 18-49 and total viewers for the primetime week of June 25-July 1. According to "live plus same day" viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research, NBC averaged a 2.0 rating, 7 share in adults 18-49 and 7.2 million viewers overall for the week, making this NBC's highest weeklong rating in 18-49 since February 6-12 and top total-viewer average since January 30-February 5, Super Bowl week..

NBC ranked #1 or tied for #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in 18-49 for six of the week's seven nights. In total viewers, NBC was #1 outright among those networks on six of seven nights. It's the first time NBC has won as many as six nights in a week since February, 15-21, 2010 during the Vancouver Olympics.

"America's Got Talent" delivered the week's top three rankings in total viewers and top three non-sports rankings in adults 18-49. It's the fifth week in a row "Talent" has generated the highest non-sports 18-49 and total-viewer results on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox.

The broad-based "Talent" was the week's #1 non-sports telecast on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, total viewers, adults 25-54, adults 18-34, households, teens 12-17 and kids 2-11.

Through Sunday, NBC's 13 primetime Olympic-Trials telecasts have averaged 6.8 million viewers overall and a 1.9 rating in adults 18-49, the highest results for Olympic-Trials coverage since 1996 in total viewers and since 2000 in 18-49.

Among NBC's top-rated programs for the week, Sunday's 9-11 p.m. ET "Olympic Trials" ranked #1 on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, followed by the Tuesday, Monday and Wednesday editions of "America's Got Talent" (#2, 3 and 4 respectively, and #1, 2 and 3 among non-sports telecasts on those networks), Friday's 9-11 p.m. "Olympic Trials" (tied for #5), Monday's "American Ninja Warrior" (tied for #17) and Tuesday's "Love in the Wild" (tied for #21). NBC's lineup accounted for 15 of the week's top 25 primetime programs on ABC, CBS and Fox in 18-49 and 10 of the top 15 in total viewers.

Primetime averages for the week of June 25-July 1 in adults 18-49 were: NBC (2.0/7), Fox (1.4/5), ABC (1.1/4), CBS (1.0/3) and CW (0.2/1). In overall total viewers, the weekly averages were: NBC (7.2 million), CBS (5.4 million), ABC (4.1 million), Fox (3.7 million) and CW (0.5 million).

For the 2011-12 broadcast year to date, NBC is tied for #3 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49 rating and is #3 outright ahead of ABC in viewers 18-49. NBC is the only network among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox that's up versus one year ago in viewers 18-49. NBC is also #2 in adults 18-34 for the broadcast year to date. Averages for the broadcast year through 41 weeks are: Fox (3.0/9), CBS (2.7/8), NBC (2.4/7), ABC (2.4/7) and CW (0.7/2). In overall total viewers, the broadcast-year averages are: CBS (11.0 million), Fox (8.4 million), ABC (8.1 million), NBC (7.2 million) and CW (1.6 million).

NBC highlights for the week of June 25-July 1

* Telecasts throughout the week of the "U.S. Olympic Team Trials" generated the six biggest audiences for Olympic-Trials coverage since August 2000, led by the 7ZXZX6 million generated by Sunday's gymnastics telecast. That Sunday coverage also scored the highest 18-49 rating for an Olympic-trials telecast since 2000.

* On Monday, "America's Got Talent" delivered the night's #1 results in adults 18-49 and total viewers, leading NBC to a tie for the nightlong win in adults 18-49 and an outright win in total viewers.

* Monday's "American Ninja Warrior" was #1 at 10 p.m. ET among ABC, CBS and NBC in every key ratings demographic.

* On Tuesday, "America's Got Talent" scored the highest 18-49 and total-viewer results for any non-sports primetime telecast on ABC, CBS, NBC or Fox since June 5.

* Also on Tuesday, "Love in the Wild" equaled its highest 18-49 rating since July 6, 2011 and delivered its biggest overall audience since July 27, 2011.

Monday from 9-10 p.m. ET, "America's Got Talent" (3.0/8 in 18-49, 10.5 million viewers overall) delivered the #1 results of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key measures on a night that included ABC's "Bachelorette" and "Glass House" and Fox's "Hell's Kitchen" and "MasterChef." Versus its Monday 8 p.m. ET telecast of one week earlier, "Talent" was up week to week by 3 percent (to a 3.0 from a 2.9). Monday from 10-11 p.m. ET, "American Ninja Warrior" (1.9/5 in 18-49, 5.7 million viewers overall) finished #1 in the hour among ABC, CBS and NBC in all key demographics - adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54. Versus NBC's average in this time period last summer, "American Ninja Warrior" was up 58 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.9 from a 1.2) and up 18 percent in total viewers (5.7 million vs. 4.8 million). Versus NBC's special telecast of "American Ninja Warrior" last summer, this week's telecast is up 12 percent in 18-49 rating (with a 1.9 vs. a 1.7 from 9-11 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 22, 2011) and up 21 percent in total viewers (5.7 million vs. 4.7 million).

NBC tied for #1 for the night in 18-49 and was #1 outright in total viewers.

On Tuesday, June 26, at 8 p.m. ET, the "U.S. Olympic Team Trials: Swimming Finals" (2.0/7 share in adult 18-49, 7.0 million viewers overall) ranked #2 in the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, total viewers and all other key demos. From its first half-hour to its second, the "U.S. Olympic Team Trials: Swimming Finals" grew in all key ratings categories.

Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET, "America's Got Talent" (3.2/9 in 18-49, 11.7 million viewers overall) delivered the top 18-49 and total-viewer results for any non-sports primetime telecast on ABC, CBS, NBC or Fox since June 5. "Talent" was the #1 program of the night in both categories and led its slot among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in all key ratings categories - adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, plus total viewers - as well as teens 12-17 and kids 2-11. Versus "Talent's" prior Tuesday original (3.0/8 in 18-49, 11.2 million viewers overall on June 12), this week's telecast was up 7 percent in 18-49 rating and 4 percent in total viewers.

Tuesday from 10-11 p.m. ET, "Love in the Wild" (1.6/5 in 18-49, 4.9 million viewers overall) matched the show's highest 18-49 rating since July 6, 2011 and delivered its biggest overall audience since July 27, 2011, to lead the time period among ABC, CBS and NBC in 18-49 and all other key demos. Versus the prior week, when it had an encore "Talent" lead-in, "Love in the Wild" was up 23 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.6 from a 1.3) and up 19 percent in total viewers (4.9 million vs. 4.1 million).

NBC tied for #1 for the night in adults 18-49 with Fox (2.3 rating each) and was #1 outright in total viewers.

On Wednesday, June 27 from 8-9 p.m. ET, the "U.S. Olympic Team Trials: Swimming Finals" (1.9/7 in adult 18-49, 7.1 million viewers overall) ranked #2 in the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49 and #1 among those networks in total viewers. Audiences for the Olympic Team Trials grew over all five nights of NBC primetime coverage from June 23-27, delivering 4.0 million on Saturday, 4.5 million on Sunday, 6.9 million on Monday, 7.0 million on Tuesday and 7.1 million on Wednesday. From its first half-hour to its second, Wednesday's "U.S. Olympic Team Trials" grew by 11 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 2.0 from a 1.8) and 13 percent in total viewers (7.5 million vs. 6.7 million).

Wednesday from 9-11 p.m. ET, "America's Got Talent" (2.8/9 in 18-49, 10.7 million viewers overall) delivered the highest 18-49 and total-viewer results of the night and generated NBC's best 18-49 and total-viewer scores in the slot in nine months (since September 24, 2011). "Talent" led its time period among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in 18-49, total viewers and most other key ratings categories, as well as teens 12-17 and kids 2-11. From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Talent" increased by 19 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 3.1 from a 2.6) and 13 percent or more than 1.3 million persons in total viewers (11.3 million vs. 9.9 million).

For its second hour from 10-11 p.m., "America's Got Talent" out-rated the ABC and CBS competition combined in all key ratings categories.

NBC ranked #1 Wednesday night in adults 18-49 and total viewers, with "America's Got Talent" and coverage of the U.S. Olympic Team Trials ranking #1 and #3 in 18-49 for the night and #1 and #2 in total viewers.

On Thursday, June 28 at 8 p.m. ET, the "U.S. Olympic Team Trials: Swimming Finals" (1.7/5 in adults 18-49, 6.2 million viewers overall) ranked #2 in the time period in both adults 18-49 (0.1 of a rating point out of the lead) and total viewers and ranked #1 for its second half-hour from 8:30-9 p.m. in both categories. The "U.S. Olympic Team Trials" scored NBC's highest 18-49 rating in this hour since March 15.From its first half-hour to its second, the "U.S. Olympic Team Trials" grew by 13 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.8 from a 1.6) and 3 percent in total viewers (6.3 million vs. 6.1 million).

Thursday at 9 p.m. ET, "Saving Hope" averaged a 0.7/2 in 18-49 and 3.2 million viewers overall. "Saving Hope" grew week to week by 0.2 of a point in 18-49 (to a 0.7 from a 0.5) and was up 19 percent in total viewers (3.192 million vs. 2.687 million). Compared with NBC's total-viewer average in the time period last summer, "Saving Hope" is up 37 percent (3.192 million vs. 2.331 million, L+SD non-sports).

Thursday at 10 p.m. ET, "Rock Center" delivered a 0.8/2 in 18-49 and 3.6 million viewers overall. "Rock Center" matched its 18-49 rating of the prior two weeks. Versus this week's lead-in, "Rock Center" was up 14 percent in 18-49, 20 percent in adults 25-54 (to a 1.2 rating from a 1.0) and 13 percent in total viewers. Compared with NBC's total-viewer average in the time period last summer, "Rock Center" is up 40 percent (3.605 million vs. 2.579 million, L+SD non-sports).

Friday, June 29 at 8 p.m. ET, the "U.S. Olympic Team Trials: Swimming Finals" (1.5/6 in adults 18-49, 6.0 million viewers overall) delivered NBC's highest 18-49 rating in the time period since October 8, 2010 ("Dateline NBC," 1.6) and biggest overall viewer total in the hour since March 2, 2012 ("Who Do You Think You Are?," 7.4 million). The "U.S. Olympic Team Trials" 8-9 p.m. segment was the #2 telecast of the night among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in 18-49 and total viewers, behind only the 9-11 p.m. Olympic-Trials coverage. The 8 p.m. telecast led its hour among those networks in all key ratings categories - adults, men and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54, as well as total viewers.

Friday from 9-11:01 p.m. ET, the "U.S. Olympic Team Trials: Gymnastics Women's Qualifying" (2.4/9 in 18-49, 7.8 million viewers overall) generated the highest 18-49 rating for NBC in the time period since February 26, 2010 (Vancouver Winter Olympics, 6.9) and biggest overall viewership in the slot since March 25, 2011 ("Dateline," 8.2 million). The average viewership of 7.9 million is the highest for any swimming Olympic Trials since at least 1988. Sunday from 9-11:05 p.m. ET, the "U.S. Olympic Team Trials: Gymnastics Women's Final" (3.3/9 in 18-49, 10.0 million viewers overall) is the top Olympic-Trials telecast in both 18-49 and total viewers since August 20, 2000 (4.7/14 in 18-49, 11.3 million viewers overall). The 3.3 is NBC's highest rating in the Sunday 9-11 time period since the Super Bowl.
