NBA TV Closes Out First Quarter With Record Ratings

NBA TV CLOSES OUT FIRST QUARTER WITH RECORD RATINGS

Q1 2012 is the Highest-Rated Quarter in the Network's History

NBA TV achieved record ratings for first quarter 2012, with the highest quarter in the network's history. The network's record regular-season performance and growth has the first quarter averaging 344,000 total viewers (+36%) and 270,000 households (+36%) for 73 games compared to the same time period last year. Additionally, first quarter 2012 delivered several of NBA TV's most-watched games including three of the top five telecasts in network history.

NBA TV continues to average the youngest median age (34.8) of any sports network. For the quarter, NBA TV's key demographics are up for the network's game telecasts versus the same time period during the first quarter of the 2010-2011 regular season:

· Total Viewers: 344,000 vs. 253,000 +36%

· Households: 270,000 vs. 198,000 +36%

· A18-34: 108,000 vs. 72,000 +50%

· A18-49: 181,000 vs. 135,000 +34%

· A25-54: 174,000 vs. 131,000 +33%

· M18-34: 80,000 vs. 53,000 +51%

· M18-49: 138,000 vs. 102,000 +35%

· M25-54: 134,000 vs. 100,000 +34%

In prime time, NBA TV averaged 182,000 total viewers (+34%) and 144,000 households (+35%) for the first quarter.

NBA TV's popular Fan Night games - where fans vote for the games they want to see via NBA.com, NBA's Facebook page and Yahoo.com - continues to out-pace last year's Fan Night games. Through first quarter, NBA TV's Fan Night games averaged 373,000 households (+22%) and 469,000 total viewers (+16%) for 18 games.

In addition to the network's quarterly records, NBA TV also set some records in the month of March.

The Fan Night game on March 13 featuring the Miami Heat and Orlando Magic garnered the following results:

· Delivered 514,000 homes and 643,000 total viewers and was the top Fan Night game of the 2011-12 regular season among households.

· This game ranked as the ninth most-watched game overall in NBA TV history among total viewers.

In addition, on March 15, NBA TV's live coverage of the 2012 Trade Deadline saw significant increases in all areas. Highlights from NBA TV's special NBA Trade Deadline Show:

· NBA TV's live trade deadline telecasts averaged 130,000 viewers (+73%) compared to last year's comparable telecasts.

· This year's NBA Trade Deadline show at 2 p.m. ET averaged 122,000 viewers (+77%) and 116,000 households (+43%) over last year's comparable show.

· Men 18-34 were up 72 percent for the 2 p.m. show over last year's trade deadline program.

· Thursday's 7 p.m. Trade Deadline Show averaged 160,000 viewers (+47%) and 141,000 households (+41%) over last year's comparable broadcast.

· For the 7 p.m. Trade Deadline Show, Men 18-34 were up 82 percent over last year's trade deadline telecast.
