FX Posts Best September Ever
FX posted its highest-rated September ever among all Adult and Men demos, as well as households and total viewers in all key dayparts (Prime, Sales Prime and Total Day).
Competitively, FX ranked #3 in delivery of Adults 18-49 and Men 18-49 in primetime among 92 ad-supported cable networks - the highest monthly rank the network has ever achieved. FX averaged 818,000 Adults 18-49 for the month, surging +15% over year ago (712,000), and averaged 483,000 Men 18-49, a gain of +19% (407,000) versus September '10.
For the ninth consecutive month, FX has posted year-over-year growth.
FX was running on all cylinders:
middot; Originals: Sons of Anarchy was this month's most watched scripted series in P18-49; (season 4 premiere episode was basic cable's most-watched drama telecast of 2011 in Adults 18-49 and Men 18-49)
middot; It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia was basic cable's most-watched scripted comedy this month and it is off to its best start in seven years. The season 7 premiere episode is likely to be the most-watched Sunny episode ever when Live+7 data becomes available.)
middot; Movies: FX held 8 of the Top 20 theatrical telecasts in P18-49, and 10 of the Top 20 in M18-49 - with the Top 6 outright!
