FOX Wins Premiere Week for First Time in Network's History

FOX WINS PREMIERE WEEK FOR FIRST TIME IN NETWORK'S HISTORY

Thanks to the strong series debuts of NEW GIRL and THE X FACTOR, the HELL'S KITCHEN season finale and solid premieres across all of its returning shows, FOX won the first week of the 2011-12 fall season -- the network's first-ever premiere week victory. FOX also ranked #1 among Adults 18-34 and Teens, dominating in those demographics by +45% and +77%, respectively.

Amidst heavy competition throughout the week, FOX was the only network to achieve year-over-year gains last week, raising its average rating by +31% in the core adult demo (3.4 vs. 2.6) and +28% in Total Viewers (8.4 Mil. vs. 6.5 Mil.). In addition, FOX was the only network to win three nights during premiere week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) - its most nightly wins ever during the first week of the season.

Key weekly highlights include:

· With the season debuts of GLEE and RAISING HOPE, and the series premiere of NEW GIRL, FOX won Tuesday night and beat the next highest-rated network by +11% among Adults 18-49 and +120% among Adults 18-34.

· In the 8p hour the season premiere of GLEE drew a 4.0/11 demo rating and won its 8p hour among Adults 18-34 and Teens.

· The series debut of freshman comedy NEW GIRL posted a 4.8/12 among Adults 18-49, up +55% from last year's debut of RAISING HOPE in the time period (vs. 3.1/8). NEW GIRL was the highest rated program of the night among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 and was FOX's highest rated live-action comedy fall debut in 10 years.

· At 9:30pm the season premiere of RAISING HOPE delivered a 3.1/8 among Adults 18-49, the same as its series debut last year.

· Together, FOX's new 9-10pm comedy block of NEW GIRL and RAISING HOPE won the hour among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

· Airing the two-hour series premiere of THE X FACTOR, FOX won the Wednesday night of premiere week in the core adult demo for the first time in 18 years and for the first time ever among Total Viewers.

· The debut of THE X FACTOR posted a 4.4/12 among Adults 18-49 and was up +52% from FOX's performance in the time period last fall (vs. 2.9/8 on 9/22/10).

· THE X FACTOR series premiere drew 12.5 million Total Viewers was FOX's most watched fall debut in five years.

· FOX won the Thursday night of premiere week among Adults 18-49 for the first time in the network's history.

· The Thursday debut of THE X FACTOR delivered a 4.3/12 among Adults 18-49 and 12.5 million Total Viewers, retaining 98% of its Wednesday premiere in the adult demo and 100% of its Wednesday Total Viewers.

· THE X FACTOR was FOX's highest rated Thursday fall premiere in 12 years among Adults 18-49 and Total Viewers.

· Throughout the night, THE X FACTOR showed significant growth, gaining in its last half hour versus its first by +37% in Adults 18-49 (4.8 vs. 3.5) and +32% in Total Viewers (13.7 vs. 10.4 Mil.)

· Airing the season premieres of KITCHEN NIGHTMARES and FRINGE, FOX delivered its highest rated Friday night of a premiere week in six years in Adults 18-49 (since 2005). FOX ranked #1 among Adults 18-34 and was up +129% vs. the same night last year among Adults 18-49.

· The season premiere of KITCHEN NIGHTMARES posted a 1.6/6 among Adults 18-49, up +167% from the time period last year and was in-line with its 10/11 season average with originals (1.6/6).

· The season premiere of FRINGE posted a 1.5/5, up +67% from The Good Guys premiere in the hour last year (vs. 0.9/3 on 9/24/10). When Live+7 ratings come in FRINGE will likely deliver a mid-two rating among Adults 18-49.

· Airing against significant football competition, Sunday's season premieres of FOX's Animation Domination lineup gave the network a nightly win among Teens.

· The season premieres of FAMILY GUY and THE SIMPSONS were the #1 and #2 entertainment programs of the night among Adults 18-49. FAMILY GUY was the highest rated program of the night in Teens.

· At 8pm, the season premiere of THE SIMPSONS delivered a 3.9/10 among Adults 18-49, up +5% from last year's premiere (vs. 3.7/10 on 9/26/10).

· The season premieres of THE CLEVELAND SHOW at 8:30p (3.1/7) and AMERICAN DAD at 9:30p (3.0/7) delivered the same premiere ratings as last year (on 9/26/10 and 10/3/10, respectively).

· The 9p premiere of FAMILY GUY posted a 4.1/9 among Adults 18-49 and, together with AMERICAN DAD, beat the season premiere of ABC's Desperate Housewives by +13% in the hour.
