A&E'S "STORAGE WARS" BECOMES NETWORK'S #1 SERIES TELECAST OF ALL TIME WITH 5.1 MILLION VIEWERS IN SECOND SEASON PREMIERE
The season two premiere of A&E's hit real-life series "Storage Wars" set ratings records for the network with back-to-back episodes on Wednesday, July 20 at 10:00PM and 10:30PM. The 10:30 episode became the network's most-watched telecast of all time among the key adults 18-49 and 25-54 demographics with 2.9 million viewers in each demo, as well as the most-watched series telecast of all time with 5.1 million total viewers. The full hour of back-to-back episodes became A&E's #1 season-opening performance for any series in the history of the network.
"Storage Wars" set records online as well, as July 20 became the highest trafficked day of 2011 and the second-highest trafficked day on record for aetv.com, in both page views and visits.
The 10:00PM episode of "Storage Wars" was watched by 4.5 million total viewers before growing by 13% to 5.1 million for the record-setting 10:30PM episode. Among adults 18-49 and 25-54 the audiences grew by 12% from 2.6 million for the 10:00PM episode to 2.9 million for the 10:30PM.
New episodes of "Storage Wars" air every Wednesday at 10:00PM and 10:30PM on A&E.
