truTV Scores Biggest February Ever on Strength of All-Original Series Lineup
Hardcore Pawn, All Worked Up, Lizard Lick Towing and Operation Repo Among Top 10 Network's Growing Hits
truTV has chalked up its biggest February ever, thanks to the network's all-original lineup of hit series, including Hardcore Pawn, All Worked Up, Lizard Lick Towing and Operation Repo. The network set new February records in primetime delivery of adults 18-34, adults 18-49, men 18-34 and men 18-49, truTV's targeted demographics. For the month, truTV ranked as a Top 10 basic cable network in primetime among men 18-49 and scored a strong 12th-place finish among adults 18-49. truTV's record February comes in the wake of a record-breaking finish for 2010.
"As our record-breaking February numbers prove, truTV's hit lineup really resonates with young adult and young male viewers, making the network one of cable's hottest properties," said Marc Juris, executive vice president and general manager of truTV.
In March, truTV joins TNT, TBS and CBS in televising the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship. truTV is also positioned to continue its success in original programming with more new episodes of its ongoing hits, along with the March 22 premiere of Big Brian: The Fortune Seller, a look inside the high-stakes world of estate sales.
truTV February ratings highlights:
truTV's primetime deliveries of adults 18-34 (268,000); adults 18-49 (592,000); men 18-34 (145,000); and men 18-49 (339,000) rank as the best February numbers in the network's history. Proving the network's growing appeal among young adults, truTV scored its youngest primetime median age (43) since before its January 2008 rebrand, a drop of seven years.
Operation Repo continues to be a smash hit for truTV. Now in its eighth season, Operation Repo ranks as basic cable's #1 program in the Wednesday 9 p.m. timeslot among adults 18-49 (985,000). Operation Repo also scored Top 5 finishes in the time period among total viewers (1.9 million) and men 18-49 (570,000).
Hardcore Pawn is a fast-growing cable hit, averaging 2.1 million viewers in February, with more than 1.2 million adults 18-49 and 682,000 men 18-49. Through the first two months of 2011, the show's audience is up 23% over 2010 episodes, with adults 18-49 up 28% over 2010 and men 18-49 up 36%.
All Worked Up, which averaged 1.5 million viewers and 740,000 adults 18-49 in February. It ranked among cable's Top 5 entertainment programs in its Monday 9 p.m. timeslot with men 18-49 (400,000).
Lizard Lick Towing is truTV's newest hit. During its first month, the spinoff of All Worked Up ranked among cable's Top 5 entertainment programs in the Monday 10 p.m. timeslot, with 1.8 million viewers, 1 million adults 18-49 and 566,000 men 18-59.
Other truTV hit series include truTV Presents: World's Dumbest�, Top 20 Most Shocking, Las Vegas Jailhouse and Bait Car.
