NEW YORK - February 1, 2011 - Driven by five nights of must-watch original programming, Bravo Media continues to deliver more record-ratings success in 2011 earning its best January ever and marking double-digit growth with 60 percent increase in adults 18-49 and 46 percent increase among total viewers compared to January 2010, according to Nielsen Media Research.
The network earned its best total day ever among all key demos on Sunday, January 30 and registered its best week in the network's history among all key demos the week of January 10, averaging 1.15 million total viewers and 704,000 adults 18-49. This past month, Bravo averaged 1.06 million total viewers and 660,000 adults 18-49. Maintaining its No. 1 position as the most engaged, upscale and educated audience in cable, Bravo ranked as the No. 9 network in primetime among all cable entertainment networks in the coveted adult 18-49 demo and the No. 3 cable network among women 18-34.
Fans helped Bravo Digital post remarkable double-digit growth, recording its best January ever in page views, uniques and video streams. BravoTV.com garnered 5.0 million unique visitors and over 7 million video streams, up 52 percent and 162 percent respectively compared to January 2010. Bravo Mobile also delivered its best January in network history among page views and video streams, starting off strong in 2011 among all key metrics. This was Bravo's second consecutive best month ever for mobile streams.
Bravo earned the top spot as the No. 1 cable network in primetime among adults 18-49 and claimed the No. 1 cable telecast on Sunday, January 30 across all key demos as "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" season three finale delivered the highest rated episode in the Housewives franchise history. This was the first time for a Housewives episode to hit the four million mark with 4.4 million total viewers and 3.1 million adults 18-49. The highly anticipated finale marked double-digit growth, up 51 percent (adults 18-49) and 47 percent (total viewers) compared to the season two finale (10/22/09). Season three was the highest rated season in the Housewives franchise history among all key demos, averaging 3.5 million total viewers and more than 2.4 million adults 18-49.
Immediately following the finale, late night gab-fest "Watch What Happens: Live" scored series high ratings among all key demos delivering 3.1 million total viewers and over 2.1 million adults 18-49. Hosted by Andy Cohen, the show had a notable month beating out all cable late night talk show competition including TBS' "Conan" for two consecutive Thursdays in January (01/13/11 and 01/20/11). Airing on Sundays and Thursdays, season four is averaging 2.1 million total viewers and 1.4 million adults 18-49 to-date, up 127 percent (vs. 1,011,000) and 105 percent (vs. 6000,000) respectively versus the previous season.
"The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" averaged a remarkable 2.4 million total viewers and 1.7 million adults 18-49, making it the second highest rated freshman series of the Housewives franchise in all key demos, only behind "The Real Housewives of New Jersey." The January 20 finale earned its highest rated episode of the season among all key demos, delivering 2.8 million total viewers and 1.9 million adults 18-49.
Adding to the record-breaking ratings, season four of "The Millionaire Matchmaker" earned its highest rated season of the series ever among all key demos, averaging 1.9 million total viewers and 1.3 million adults 18-49. Marking double-digit growth, season four increased 44 percent (total viewers) and 39 percent (adults 18-49) compared to the previous season. The season finale (1/11/11) scored its highest rated episode in series history among all key demos and marked the first time the series earned more than 2.5 million total viewers. Delivering 2.6 million total viewers and 1.7 million adults 18-49, the finale marked double-digit growth up 62 percent (total viewers) and 60 percent (adults 18-49) compared to the season three finale (4/13/10).
In addition, season eight of "Top Chef All-Stars" is averaging 2.9 million total viewers and 2.0 million adults 18-49 on Wednesdays. On pace to record its highest rated season of the series averaging 1.3 million total viewers and 804,000 adults 18-49, season three of "Tabatha's Salon Takeover" recorded double-digit growth with a 27 percent increase (total viewers) and 13 percent increase (adults 18-49) compared to the previous season.
