MTV's "Jersey Shore" Hits All-Time High With 8.9 Million Total Viewers In Its Third Week

NEW YORK, Jan. 21, 2011 -- Last night's episode of "Jersey Shore" was MTV's most-watched series telecast in the network's history, garnering 8.9 million total viewers and beating last week's record of 8.6 million total viewers. "Jersey Shore" airs on MTV, a division of Viacom Inc. (NYSE: VIA and VIA.B) on Thursdays at 10pm ET/PT.

The 1/20/11 episode of "Jersey Shore" was MTV's most watched series telecast ever, topping the previous record (1/13/11) by 300,000 total viewers.
Delivered 8.9 million total viewers, up 3% from 8.6 million total viewers for last Thursday's telecast.
Averaged an 8.8 P12-34 rating and 6.9 million P12-34 viewers, up 4% from last Thursday's 8.5 P12-34 rating and 6.6 million P12-34 viewers.
