Powered by the continued record-setting success of the network's 13th annual "25 Days of Christmas" event, this week ranked as ABC Family's second-most-watched week of all time in Prime in Adults 18-34 (640,000) and Women 18-34 (427,000), behind only last week, and also among Women 18-49 (773,000), behind the week of 12/3/2007.
Impressively, for the second week running ABC Family was cable's No. 1 network in Prime among Women 18-34 and Women 18-49. Moreover, the network ranked a solid No. 2 in Females 12-34 (596,000/1.3 rating) and No. 3 in Adults 18-49 (1.21 million/0.9 rating), Adults 18-34 (640,000/0.9 rating) and Viewers 12-34 (896,000/1.0 rating).
Also impressive, for the 2nd consecutive week The Walt Disney Company owned 3 of cable's Top 4 cable networks this week in Prime in Total Viewers: ESPN (No. 1 - 3.81 million), Disney Channel (No. 3 - 2.87 million) and ABC Family (No. 4 - 2.66 million).
· Sunday's premiere of "Christmas Cupid" (8:00 - 10:00 p.m.) became cable's No. 1 original movie of the 2010/11 season among Adults 18-34 (808,000/1.2 rating), Women 18-34 (650,000/1.9 rating) and Women 18-49 (1.12 million/1.7 rating).
· "Christmas Cupid" stood as cable's dominant No. 1 program in its time period among Adults 18-34, Women 18-34, Women 18-49, Viewers 12-34 (1.28 million/1.4 rating) and Females 12-34 (1.06 million/2.3 rating), and No. 2 in Total Viewers (3.40 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.50 million/1.1 rating).
· Versus the year-ago time period average, "Christmas Cupid" delivered significant gains among core demos, including by 13% in Adults 18-34 (808,000 vs. 717,000), by 36% in Women 18-34 (650,000 vs. 478,000), by 14% in Women 18-49 (1.12 million vs. 980,000) and by 52% in Females 12-34 (1.06 million vs. 699,000).
· Peaking in the final quarter hour, "Christmas Cupid" grew its audience start-to-finish by 11% in Adults 18-34 (767,000 to 855,000), by 19% in Women 18-34 (592,000 to 705,000) and by 14% in Females 12-34 (1.00 million to 1.14 million).
· "25 Days of Christmas 2010" is off to the programming extravaganza's best start across the board: Total Viewers (2.95 million), Adults 18-34 (713,000), Women 18-34 (460,000), Adults 18-49 (1.33 million), Women 18-49 (834,000), Viewers 12-34 (1.00 million) and Females 12-34 (649,000).
· From 7:00 - 10:00 p.m., ABC Family ranks a dominant No. 1 among all cable among its core Adult and Female demos: Adults 18-34, Women 18-34, Adults 18-49, Women 18-49, Viewers 12-34 and Females 12-34.
· Compared to the first 12 nights in 2009, "25 Days of Christmas 2010" is up by double-digit percent margins across the board, including by 22% in Total Viewers (2.95 million vs. 2.41 million), by 20% in Adults 18-49 (1.33 million vs. 1.11 million) and by 24% in Women 18-49 (834,000 vs. 674,000).
