60 MINUTES drew 17.59 million viewers to finish in Nielsen's Top 10 at # 3, its highest in-season weekly ranking in nearly a year and the seventh time in 12 weeks that the news magazine made the prestigious list.
America's most-watched news program posted a 10.8/17 in households, 5.0/12 in adults 25-54 and 3.9/10 in adults 18-49, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Sunday, Dec. 12. The high ratings powered 60 MINUTES into the top 10 in other key measures, including # 2 in households, tied for # 4 in adults 25-54 and tied for # 7 in adults 18-49. It was 60 MINUTES best delivery in adults 18-49 since January 17, 2010.
Compared to the same night last year, 60 MINUTES was up +6% in households, +9% in adults 25-54 and +8% in adults 18-49.
60 MINUTES also continues to be a hit among iPad users, currently topping the list as the # 1 paid news app.
Sunday's broadcast featured Lesley's Stahl's interview with speaker of the House designate John Boehner (R.-Ohio), Steve Kroft's report on emerging economic powerhouse Brazil and Scott Pelley's profile of Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.
