"NIGHTLINE" IS #1 IN TOTAL VIEWERS FOR THE FIFTH CONSECUTIVE WEEK
"NIGHTLINE" IS #1 FOR THE SEASON TO DATE AMONG ADULTS 18-49, ADULTS 25-54 AND TOTAL VIEWERS FOR FIRST TIME SINCE 1993
ABC News' "Nightline" is the number one program among Total Viewers (3.92 million), outperforming NBC's "The Tonight Show" and CBS' "Late Show with David Letterman" according to Nielsen Media Research for the week of November 1, 2010. This is the fifth week in a row "Nightline" has been the number one program among Total Viewers. For the week, "Nightline" placed second among Adults 25-54 (1.60 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.25 million).
Due to Election Day on Tuesday 11/2/10, "Nightline" and "The Late Show" were both coded specials and "The Tonight Show" was preempted; ratings for that night are excluded from the averages. The weekly averages for all three programs are based on four days (Monday, Wednesday - Friday).
Season-to-date, "Nightline" also ranks in first place among Total Viewers, A25-54 and A18-49. This is the first time "Nightline" has been in first place at this point in the season since at least the 1993-94 season when "Letterman" began on CBS.
"Nightline" narrowed the demo gap with "The Late Show" by -67% versus last week and -50% versus the same week last year.
ABC News' "Nightline" is anchored by Cynthia McFadden, Terry Moran and Bill Weir. John Donvan and Vicki Mabrey are correspondents. James Goldston is the executive producer. The program airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m., ET on the ABC Television Network.

Weekly National Ratings:
During the week of November 1, 2010, ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" attracted 1.72 million Total Viewers and 695,000 Adult 18-49 viewers, posting the show's 3rd-strongest performance of the season. In fact, "JKL" drew the show's 2nd-highest Adults 18-49 audience since premiere week - since w/o 9/20/10. In addition, "JKL" was up in viewers over the year-ago week (1.70 million on w/o 11/2/09), turning in its 3rd straight week of year-to-year increases.
· For the 3rd consecutive week, ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" beat CBS' "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" in Adults 18-49 (695,000 vs. 650,000). In fact, "JKL" bettered the CBS late night program in the key young adult demo for the 5th time in 7 weeks of the season.
· "Jimmy Kimmel Live" defeated NBC's "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" among Women 18-49 (444,000 vs. 437,000) and Women 25-54 (553,000 vs. 476,000) for the 3rd week running.
