FACT OR FAKED: PARANORMAL FILES POSTS SERIES HIGHS IN ADULTS 18-49 AND ADULTS 25-54 FOR SECOND CONSECUTIVE WEEK ON SYFY

Gains 28% in Adults 18-49 and 35% in Adults 25-54 Versus Prior Week

New York, New York - August 10, 2010 - Week four of Syfy's Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files (Thursdays 10-11 PM ET/PT) hit series highs for a second straight week with its August 5th episode, soaring +28% in adults 18-49s and +35% in adults 25-54s to average 683,000 in 18-49s and 733,000 in 25-54s.

This is the best 18-49 performance for any Thursday prime program on Syfy since the feature Casino Royale aired on Thanksgiving in 2009, and excluding holidays is the top Thursday program on Syfy in over 2 years (The Hulk, 6/19/08).

Syfy recently ordered six additional new episodes of the reality hit, which will begin airing on November 4th at 10/9c PM.

Investigative series Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files continues with its mission to uncover the truth behind some of the most compelling, mystifying and seemingly unexplainable images caught on camera and posted on the Internet. The series features former FBI Special Agent Ben Hansen, lead scientist Bill Murphy, effects specialist Larry Caughlin, journalist Jael De Pardo, photography expert Chi-Lan Lieu, and stunt expert Austin Porter.

Coming up this Thursday, August 12th at 10/9c PM, the team investigates a controversy involving mysterious light on the horizon in Paulding, Michigan and a lonely railroad crossing in San Antonio, Texas, where parked cars seem to roll uphill over the tracks on their own. Additionally, on August 19th, the group investigates the appearance of a Civil War ghost soldier at an abandoned cemetery in Indiana and a series of shocking cattle mutilations in Colorado.
