THE PREMIERE OF "BIG BROTHER WEDNESDAY" POSTS ACROSS-THE-BOARD INCREASES VERSUS COMPARABLE PREMIERE LAST SUMMER
"Big Brother" Wins Time Period in Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54
All Three Premiere Editions of "Big Brother" Notch Year-to-Year Increases
The premiere of the Wednesday edition of BIG BROTHER posted across-the-board increases versus the comparable premiere last summer, winning its time period in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for July 14.
BIG BROTHER WEDNESDAY (P) was first in adults 25-54 (2.7/09), adults 18-49 (2.3/08) and second in viewers (6.31m) and adults 18-34 (1.8/08). Compared to the corresponding BIG BROTHER 11 broadcast last year (BIG BROTHER 11 TUESDAY (P) on July 14, 2009, at 9:00 PM), CBS was up +4% in adults 25-54 (from 2.6/07), +10% in adults 18-49 (from 2.1/06), +6% in adults 18-34 (from 1.7/06) and added +130,000 viewers (from 6.18m, +2%).
All three premieres of this summer's BIG BROTHER have posted year-to-year increases.
