CHAD OCHOCINCO AND TERRELL OWENS HEAT UP VH1 RATINGS WITH SUNDAY NIGHT PREMIERES
"Ochocinco: The Ultimate Catch" Attracts 1.5 Million Total Viewers While The Ratings for the Debut Episode of "The T.O. Show" Season 2 Soars 27% Compared to the Series Premiere Last Summer
NEW YORK, NY - July 13, 2010 -Football stars Chad Ochocinco and Terrell Owens scored strong debuts in their Sunday night series premieres on VH1.
The special 90-minute premiere episode of "Ochocinco: The Ultimate Catch" averaged a .9 in the18-49 demo and attracted 1.5 million total viewers on Sunday, July 11 at 9:00 PM.*
Following that, the premiere of "The T.O. Show"season 2, averaged a 1.0 in the 18-49 demo while drawing in 1.6 million total viewers in its 10:30 pm timeslot. The 18-49 rating for T.O.'s second season debut on Sunday night was a 27% increase over the series debut's rating on July 20, 2009.
In the premiere of the new VH1 original series "Ochocinco: The Ultimate Catch,"Cincinnati Bengals star wide receiver Chad Ochocinco (formerly Chad Johnson) is using his off-season to pursue happiness off the field. The series is a mix of Ochocinco's on-field charisma blended with the drama of the dating pool played out in a bracket-style dating tournament. Also airing on the same night is "The T.O. Show" Season 2, which kicks off with Terrell back on the free market where he needs to decide if he wants to continue his football career and find another team or hang up his cleats and figure out what his life will be post football.
VH1's "Ochocinco: The Ultimate Catch"is executive produced by Bob Horowitz and Lewis Fenton (for JUMA Entertainment) and Mark Cronin and Cris Abrego (for 51 Minds Entertainment, LLC. an Endemol Company). Ben Samek and Matt Odgers also executive produce for the series and the company. Jeff Olde, Jill Holmes, and Kristen Kelly oversee the series for VH1.
