HGTV Delivers Double Digit Ratings Increases in November
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. [For Immediate Release - December 2, 2009] HGTV continued its strong showing in November 2009, delivering the highest ever November prime time rating (M-Su 8P-11P) among households with a 1.0 according to Nielsen Media Research. HGTV also delivered its highest ever November prime time rating among P25-54 with a 0.5 and P18-49 with a 0.4. The network's popular first-time home buyers block which features My First Place and Property Virgins helped drive viewership.
In November 2009 (10/26/09-11/29/09), household ratings improved by 11 percent in prime time while total day household ratings increased 20 percent over November 2008. During 4Q09-to-date (9/28/09-11/29/09), HGTV's household ratings increased 25 percent during prime time over ratings in 4Q08. Total day household ratings increased 20 percent over 4Q08 levels.
