Preliminary "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" Ratings Are Time Period Averages and Are Expected To Increase When Updated Full Program Ratings Are Released Later

CBS Wins Every Half Hour on Thursday in Viewers and Key Demographics

At least 23 million viewers bid farewell to CSI Gil Grissom as William Petersen appeared in his final episode television's Number One drama last night, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Thursday, Jan. 15.

EDITORS NOTE: Due to live coverage of President Bush's farewell address, CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION was broadcast from 9:15-10:15 PM. Preliminary CSI ratings are 9:00-10:00 PM time period averages. Updated ratings this afternoon will be a full program average and ratings are expected to increase.

From 8:00-9:00 PM, CSI: THURSDAY SPECIAL (R) (S) was first in households (8.6/13), viewers (13.67m), adults 25-54 (4.2/10) and adults 18-49 (3.2/08). Note: The hour long average for 8:00-9:00 PM includes live coverage of the President's address from 8:00-8:15 PM and only 45 minutes of CSI: THURSDAY SPECIAL.

From 9:00-10:00 PM, CSI was first in households (13.9/21), viewers (23.13m), adults 25-54 (8.1/17) and adults 18-49 (6.2/14). Note: The hour long average for 9:00-10:00 PM includes CSI: THURSDAY SPECIAL (R) (S) from 9:00-9:15 PM and only 45 minutes of CSI.

ELEVENTH HOUR was first in households (9.7/16), viewers (15.51m), adults 25-54 (5.4/13) and adults 18-49 (4.2/11). Note: The hour long average for 10:00-11:00 PM includes CSI from 10:00-10:15 PM and only 45 minutes of ELEVENTH HOUR.

For the night, CBS was first in households (10.7/17), viewers (17.44m), adults 25-54 (5.9/14) and adults 18-49 (4.5/11). CBS won every half-hour in households, viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49.
