"GENERATION GAP" RANKS AS HIGHEST-RATED CABLE MOVIE OF DAY AND WEEK AS OCTOBER ORIGINALS CONTINUE TO SCORE ON HALLMARK CHANNEL
Hallmark Channel's Saturday night (10/25/08, 9-11 p.m.) premiere of its newest original movie, "Generation Gap," starring legendary actor Edward Asner, was the highest rated cable movie for the day and week, helping the family-friendly network rank #4 in Prime Time for the day and #9 for the week. This marks the second week in a row that Hallmark Channel's October original movie premieres have ranked in the top 10.
"Generation Gap" delivered a 1.9 household rating, 1.6 million homes and over 2.1 million total viewers ranking it as the highest rated ad-supported cable movie of the day and week. It was seen by more than 2.9 million unduplicated viewers (P2+).
"Generation Gap" also ranked in the top 10 for key demo ratings and delivery, including:
#2 in P2+ rating (1.0)
#4 in W25-54 rating (0.9)
#5 in W18-49 rating (0.6)
#7 in A25-54 rating (0.6)
#4 in P2+ (2,145,000) and W25-54 deliveries (431,000)
For the week, Hallmark Channel ranked #9 with a 1.1 HH rating, 926,000 homes and over 1.2 million total viewers.
During the month of October, Hallmark Channel experienced significant increases in its key audience demos.
� The network achieved its highest-ever October Prime Time delivery among women and adults 18-49 (157,000; 228,000) and 25-54 (197,000; 292,000).
� Channel delivered outstanding Prime Time October year-to-year increases of +53% A18-49, +52% W18-49, +33% W25-54 and +38% A25-54.
� Hallmark Channel also delivered its two highest-ever October original movie premieres with "Generation Gap" and "Ladies of the House," scoring a 1.9 HH rating each.
