The CW Ranks Second on Wednesday in Adults 18-34 and Young Women Demos
March 6, 2008 (Burbank, CA) - Against all reality competition, The CW's hit series AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL ranked second in the hour among the target demos of adults 18-34 (2.3/7), women 18-34 (3.5/10), women 18-49 (2.7/7), persons 12-34 (2.1/6), females 12-34 (3.3/9), teens (1.6/5), female teens (2.5/9), behind only American Idol, according to preliminary live plus same day Nielsen ratings for Wednesday, March 5, 2008.
TOP MODEL also remained highly competitive in adults 18-49 (1.8/5), beating NBC in the hour, while trailing ABC by a tenth of a rating point, and behind CBS by only two-tenths.
GIRLICIOUS scored its most watched (2.0mil) episode to date, including both Monday and Wednesday telecasts. GIRLICIOUS also scored its highest rated episode yet in women 18-34 (1.8/5-tie) and women 18-49 (1.5/3).
Last night's encore of GIRLICIOUS improved over Monday's original telecast by 20% in adults 18-34 (1.2/4), 29% in women 18-34 (1.8/5), 25% in adults 18-49 (1.0/2), 36% in women 18-49 (1.5/3).
GIRLICIOUS beat NBC and CBS in females 12-34 (1.7/5) and female teens (1.5/6).
Overall, The CW ranked second in total primetime on Wednesday night among adults 18-34 (1.8/5), women 18-34 (2.7/7), persons 12-34 (1.6/5), females 12-34 (2.5/7), beating the Big 3 and behind only Fox.
