"The Bad Girls Club" Makes Oxygen History With Highest Rating Ever For An Oxygen Original Series Across All Key Demographics
Over One Million Total Viewers Tune-In
NEW YORK � February 21, 2008 � After weeks of record-breaking ratings, Oxygen's "The Bad Girls Club" made network history with Tuesday's premiere episode ("Sucker Punched") to become the highest-rated telecast ever of an Oxygen original series, delivering 1,129,000 total viewers (P2+) and a 1.11 HH rating. The show also hit a milestone with total viewers, becoming the first Oxygen original series to ever break the one million viewer mark. The episode scored as the most-watched telecast ever for key demo W18-49 (471,000) and for P18-49 (659,000).
Compared to last week's episode, the February 19 premiere rose +24% among W18-49 (471,000 vs. 381,000) and +36% among both W18-34 (311,000 vs. 229,000) and P18-49 (659,000 vs. 484,000). On a total viewer basis P2+, the episode gained +59% (1,129,000 vs. 710,000).
Oxygen.com's numbers also spiked as a result of interest in "The Bad Girls Club," making February 19 and 20 the two most trafficked days in the past year. Video streams also increased, rising +427% for the week leading up to the airing when compared to episode 11 of season one of "The Bad Girls Club" (409,779 vs. 77,730). Since season two launched, the show site has generated 5,939,553 page views.
