Sci Fi's 'Tin Man' Is Ad-Supported Cable's Top Entertainment Telecast Among Adults 25-54 in More Than Two Years

SCI FI'S 'TIN MAN' IS AD-SUPPORTED CABLE'S TOP ENTERTAINMENT TELECAST AMONG ADULTS 25-54 IN MORE THAN TWO YEARS

New York, NY � December 17, 2007 -- SCI FI Channel's original miniseries Tin Man continues its journey on the yellow brick road of ratings success. According to Nielsen Media Research, Tin Man Night 1 improved upon its record-breaking deliveries with the addition of live plus seven-day data, gaining huge increases in key demos from DVR playback to make it the top primetime entertainment telecast on ad-supported cable for Adults 25-54 in over 2 years. Tin Man is the top telecast since The Flight that Fought Back, which aired September 11, 2005 on Discovery Channel garnering 4.339 MM Adults 25-54.

Tin Man added over half a million viewers in key demos to its premiere performance on December 2, 2007. Including all DVR playback, the telecast earned 4,306,000 Adults 25-54, up 526,000 vs. 3,780,000 P25-54 in live, plus same-day data and 3,908,000 Adults 18-49, up 505,000 vs. 3,403,000 in live, plus same-day data. Live plus seven-day ratings for Tin Man parts 2 and 3 will not be available until next week.

Tin Man's success extended to the Web, where weekly unique users on SCIFI.COM were at their highest levels since Omniture measurement began in June 2006, topping 1.4MM. The Tin Man section set a new record for SCIFI.COM on December 4, 2007, night three and the finale, with 1.2 MM page views. This section represented 55% of all traffic on SCIFI.COM that day. In video streams, Tin Man represented 83% of all streams on SCIFI.COM with 286,000.

Over its three nights, this wild re-imagining of L. Frank Baum's The Wonderful Wizard of Oz also became the most-watched program in SCI FI history, surpassing the success of the Channel's previous Emmy-winning events, Steven Spielberg Presents TAKEN and Frank Herbert's Dune. SCI FI's Tin Man is the top cable miniseries of 2007.

SCI FI will rebroadcast the miniseries, in its entirety, on Monday, December 24 @ 5pm-11pm ET/PT.

Produced by RHI, Tin Man stars Zooey Deschanel, Alan Cumming, Neal McDonough, Kathleen Robertson, Raoul Trujillo and Richard Dreyfuss.
