'CHUCK' HITS A FIVE-WEEK HIGH IN VIEWERS

BURBANK, Calif. � November 27, 2007 � Paced by season-high ratings for "NBC Sunday Night Football," NBC averaged a 3.3 rating, 9 share in adults 18-49 and 9.0 million viewers overall for the week of November 19-25, according to in-home viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research.

For the week, NBC ranked #2 in adults 18-49, tied with CBS, and #1 in adults 18-34 and all key male demographics � men 18-49, 18-34 and 25-54.

This week's "NBC Sunday Night Football" telecast of the Philadelphia Eagles at the New England Patriots scored season-high results for "SNF" in adults 18-49 (8.6/20), total viewers (21.8 million) and other key measures. In adults 18-49, the Eagles-Patriots game tied for the second-highest "NBC Sunday Night Football" rating ever and scored the highest rating since December 10, 2006 (Indianapolis vs. New England). In total viewers, it was the "most watched" "Sunday Night Football" telecast since that November 5, 2006 telecast.

"NBC Sunday Night Football" is NBC's highest-rated program in 18-49 and total viewers since the Dallas-Seattle NFL Playoff telecast on January 6, 2007. The Eagles-Patriots game led NBC to the highest Sunday average for any network in 18-49 since ABC's February 25 telecast of the Academy Awards.

"NBC Sunday Night Football" was the #1 program of the week in adults 18-49, adults 25-54, adults 18-34 and in all key adult male demographics.

This week, "Heroes" ranked #6 (tied) among all programs in adults 18-49. Season-to-date, "Heroes" ranks #6 among all programs in adults 18-49. "Heroes" is the #1 Monday show season-to-date in adults 18-49, adults 18-34 and other key demographic measures.

Through the first nine weeks of the 2007-08 season, NBC's median age has gotten 2.0 years younger, moving to 45.1 years this season from 47.1 years at this point last season. In this same comparison, ABC's median age has increased by 2.4 years (to 49.6 from 47.2) and CBS's median age has increased to 52.6 years from 52.0 at this point last season. Fox's median age has declined from 45.6 years to 44.8 years, reflecting in part fewer hours of baseball on Fox's primetime schedule this season versus last.

Primetime averages for the week of November 19-25 in adults 18-49 were ABC (3.6/10), NBC and CBS (3.3/9) Fox (2.5/7), Univision (1.5/4), CW (0.9/2) and Telemundo (0.4/1). In overall total viewers the weekly averages were CBS (11.7 million), ABC (11.6 million), NBC (9.1 million), Fox (6.6 million), Univision (3.6 million), CW (2.2 million) and Telemundo (1.0 million).

Through Sunday, Nov. 25, with 25 nights of the 28-night Nielsen November sweep period measured, current November 2007 sweep averages in adults 18-49 are: ABC (3.6/10), CBS (3.4/9), NBC (3.2/9), Fox (3.1/8) and CW (1.1/3). In total viewers, the 25-night November sweep averages are CBS (12.0 million), ABC (11.1 million), NBC (8.5 million), Fox (7.8 million) and CW (2.7 million).

NBC highlights for the week of November 19-25:

* Paced by "Sunday Night Football," NBC won Sunday night in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key measures. It was NBC's top-rated Sunday in 18-49 since December 10, 2006 and in total viewers since November 5, 2006.

* On Monday, "Heroes" built on its lead-in by 65 percent in 18-49 rating to finish within 0.1 of a rating point of the time-period lead in that demo and to rank #1 in adults 18-34 and key male demographics. From half-hour to half-hour, "Heroes" grew in adults 18-49, while the other major networks exhibited declines, propelling "Heroes" to the #1 spot in adults 18-49 from 9:30-10 p.m.

* Also on Monday, "Chuck" attracted its biggest overall viewership in five weeks. "Chuck" ranked #2 in adults 18-49 (tied) and #1 in key male demos.

* On Tuesday, "The Biggest Loser" was up 24 percent in adults 18-49 versus NBC's average in its time period last season. "Loser" also gained 31 percent in 18-49 rating from its first to its final half-hour.

* Also on Tuesday, "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" ranked #2 in adults 18-49 and #1 in adults 18-34 and all key adult-male demos versus atypical competition from ABC's "Bachelor: After the Final Rose" special. From half-hour to half-hour, "SVU" grew by 11 percent in 18-49 rating while other network competition declined, propelling "SVU" to #1 in adults 18-49 and total viewers in the 10:30-11 p.m. half-hour.

* On Wednesday, a special two-hour Thanksgiving edition of "Deal or No Deal" delivered NBC's highest rating in the time period in four weeks and largest overall viewership in the slot since premiere week. Versus NBC's performance in the time period on the night before Thanksgiving last year, Wednesday's "Deal or No Deal" special was up 33 percent in 18-49 and 71 percent in total viewers. . *

On Thursday, a special Thanksgiving Night telecast of the movie "The Incredibles" increased by 45 percent in 18-49 rating and 30 percent in total viewers from its first to its final half-hour.

* On Friday, an encore telecast of the feature film "The Family Man" was up 10 percent in 18-49 rating versus last year's comparable telecast, ranking #2 for the night in adults 18-49 and total viewers and #1 among men 18-49 (tied). "The Family Man" scored NBC's best Friday performance in adults 18-49 since premiere week (September 28).

* On Saturday, an encore telecast of the movie "The Incredibles" scored NBC's top 18-49 rating in the time period in nine months, up 82 percent versus NBC's season-to-date average for the slot.

Ratings reflect "live plus same day" data unless otherwise noted. Season-to-date figures are averages of "live plus seven day" data except for the two most recent weeks, which are "live plus same day."

Additional NBC highlights for the week of November 19-25:

On Monday, Nov. 19 at 8 p.m. ET, "Chuck" (3.1 rating, 8 share in adults 18-49, 7.8 million viewers overall) ranked #2 in adults 18-49 (tied) and #1 in men 18-34 and men 18-49 (tied). "Chuck" attracted its highest total viewership in five weeks (since October 15).

"Chuck" has generated half-hour-to-half-hour increases with every one of its nine original Monday telecasts, this week growing by 7 percent in 18-49 rating from its first to its second half hour (to a 3.2 from a 3.0). .

Monday from 9-10:01 p.m. ET, "Heroes" (5.1/12 in 18-49, 10.8 million viewers overall) finished within 0.1 of a rating point of the time period lead in adults 18-49 and was #1 in this highly competitive hour in adults 18-34, men 18-49 and men 18-34. "Heroes" built on its lead-in from the previous hour by 65 percent in 18-49 rating.

From half-hour to half-hour, "Heroes" increased in adult 18-49 rating while competing programming on ABC, CBS and Fox declined, propelling "Heroes" to a #1 finish in adults 18-49 from 9:30-10 p.m.

Monday at 10 p.m. ET, "Journeyman" averaged a 2.2/6 in 18-49 and 5.6 million viewers overall.

On Tuesday, Nov. 20 from 8-10 p.m. ET, "The Biggest Loser" (3.1/8 in 18-49, 7.5 million viewers overall) was up 24 percent in 18-49 rating versus NBC's average in this time period last season (3.1 vs. 2.5). From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Loser" gained 31 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 3.4 from a 2.6) and 15 percent in total viewers (to 7.9 million from 6.9 million).

Tuesday at 10 p.m. ET, "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (3.9/10 in 18-49, 11.7 million viewers overall) ranked #2 in adults 18-49 and #1 in adults 18-34 and all key adult-male demos -- men 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 -- versus atypical competition from ABC's "Bachelor: After the Final Rose" special.

From half-hour to half-hour, "SVU" grew by 11 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 4.1 from a 3.7) while ABC's special and CBS's "Cane" declined. "SVU" ranked #1 in adults 18-49 and total viewers in the 10:30-11 p.m. half-hour.

On Wednesday, Nov. 21 from 8-9 p.m. ET, "Phenomenon" (1.9/6 in 18-49, 6.2 million viewers overall) finished within 1 share of the time period lead in adults 18-49 and ranked #1 among men 18-34.

Wednesday from 9-11 p.m. ET, a special two-hour Thanksgiving edition of "Deal or No Deal" (2.8/8 in 18-49, 10.2 million viewers overall) delivered NBC's highest 18-49 rating in the time period in four weeks and largest overall viewership in the slot since premiere week (September 26). Versus NBC's performance in the time period on the night before Thanksgiving last year, Wednesday's "Deal or No Deal" special was up 33 percent in 18-49 (2.8 vs. 2.1) and 71 percent in total viewers (10.2 million vs. 5.9 million)

From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Deal" increased by 86 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 3.9/11 from a 2.1/6) and by 51 percent or more than 4.2 million persons in overall total viewers (to 12.5 million from 8.3 million). "Deal" moved into first place in the 10:30-11 p.m. half-hour in adults, men and women 18-49.

On Thursday, Nov. 22, Thanksgiving Night, from 8-10:30 p.m. ET, NBC's telecast of the 2004 feature film "The Incredibles" averaged a 2.4/7 in 18-49 and 6.6 million viewers overall. From its first half-hour to its fifth, "The Incredibles" increased by 45 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 2.9/8 from a 2.0/6) and by 30 percent in total viewers (to 7.6 million from 5.8 million). From 10:30-11 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast of "The Office" (1.8/5 in 18-49, 3.9 million viewers overall) tied for #1 among men 18-34.

On Friday, Nov. 23 from 8-11 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of the 2000 feature film "The Family Man" (2.3/7 in 18-49, 7.1 million viewers overall) was up 10 percent in 18-49 rating versus last year's comparable telecast on Friday, Nov. 24, 2006, ranking #2 for the night in adults 18-49 and total viewers and #1 among men 18-49 (tied). From its first half-hour to its last, "The Family Man" increased by 63 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 2.6/9 from a 1.6/5) and by more than 1.1 million persons or 18 percent in overall viewership (to 7.5 million from 6.4 million). "The Family Man" scored NBC's best Friday performance in adults 18-49 since premiere week (September 28).

On Saturday, Nov. 24 from 8-10:30 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of the movie "The Incredibles" (2.0/6 in 18-49, 5.6 million viewers overall) generated NBC's highest 18-49 average in this time period in more than nine months (since February 10). In total viewers, it marks NBC's biggest overall viewership in the slot since May 12. "The Incredibles" posted an 82 percent improvement in 18-49 rating versus NBC's average in this time period so far this season (2.0 vs. 1.1). From its first to its fifth half-hours, the movie increased by 60 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 2.4/7 from a 1.5/5) and by 40 percent in total viewers (to 6.3 million from 4.5 million). At 10:30 p.m., an encore telecast of "30 Rock" averaged a 1.2/4 in 18-49 and 3.3 million viewers overall.

This was NBC's best Saturday primetime performance in adults 18-49 since February 10 and in total viewers since May 12.

On Sunday, Nov. 18, "NBC Sunday Night Football," featuring the New England Patriots at the Buffalo Bills, averaged an 8.6/20 in adults 18-49, 21.8 million viewers overall and a 13.4/21 household rating and share from 8:23-11:34 p.m. ET.

"NBC Sunday Night Football" is NBC's highest-rated program in 18-49 and total viewers since the Dallas-Seattle NFL Playoff telecast on January 6, 2007 (10.0/28 in 18-49, 26.8 million viewers overall).

The Eagles-Patriots game led NBC to the highest Sunday average for any network in 18-49 since ABC's February 25 telecast of the Academy Awards. For the night (from 7:30-11 p.m.), NBC averaged a 6.8/16 in adults 18-49 and 17.7 million viewers overall to rank #1 on Sunday in adults 18-49, adults 18-34, adults 25-54, total viewers and all key adult-male demographics.

Also on Sunday, "Football Night in America 2" from 7:30-7:59 p.m. ET averaged a 1.1/3 in 18-49, 3.2 million viewers overall and a 2.2 rating, 3 share in households. "Football Night in America 3" from 7:59-8:15 p.m. delivered a 3.7/9 in 18-49, 9.7 million viewers overall and a 6.2/10 in households. From 8:15-8:23 p.m., "NBC Sunday Night Football Pre Kickoff" averaged a 5.0/12 in 18-49, 12.9 million viewers overall and a 7.9/12 in households. Note: "Football Night in America" from 7-7:30 p.m. ET was sustaining programming and does not figure in the nightly or weekly primetime averages.
