For the week of July 16, 2007, ABC attracted its largest audience (4.7 million) and highest Adults 18-49 performance (1.6/5) in 5 weeks � since week of 6/11/07.
� ABC was up from the same week last year (w/o 7/17/06) by 7% in Adults 18-49 (1.6/5 vs. 1.5/5). ABC was the only network to improve from the year-ago week in Adults 18-49, as CBS, NBC and Fox were each down.
Weekly Rankings: ABC aired 4 of the week's Top 20 TV programs in Adults 18-49: "Just for Laughs" � No. 8, "Just for Laughs � SP" � No. 14, while "Primetime: Family Secrets" and "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" tied at No. 18. In addition, "Just for Laughs" ranked No. 7 and "Just for Laughs � SP" ranked No. 14 for the week in Total Viewers.
Monday
"Wife Swap" (8:00-9:01 p.m.)
An encore "Wife Swap" drew 5.3 million viewers and a 2.0 rating, 7 share Adults 18-49 (2.1/7). The unscripted ABC program won the 8 o'clock hour in Total Viewers, outdrawing the NBC's special, "Victoria Beckham: Coming to America" (5.1 million).
Tuesday
ABC's Tuesday night lineup, including the series premiere of "Just for Laughs," "Shaq's Big Challenge" and "Primetime: Family Secrets," finished second on the night with the Net's best non-sports performance of the summer in both Total Viewers (6.9 million) and Adults 18-49 (2.4/7).
"Just for Laughs � SP" (8:00-8:30 p.m.)
The series debut telecast of "Just for Laughs" placed second in its half-hour to NBC's "America's Got Talent" in both Total Viewers (7.9 million) and Adults 18-49 (2.7/10). Excluding the pre-TV season premiere of "Dancing with the Stars" in September (9/12/06), "Just for Laughs" scored ABC's strongest summer numbers in the half-hour in viewers and young adults in nearly 4 years � since 9/16/03.
� "Just for Laughs" qualified as ABC's strongest summer series debut in Total Viewers and Adults 18-49 in 2 years � since 7/13/05 with "Brat Camp."
"Just for Laughs" (8:30-9:00 p.m.)
Building on its lead-in by 9% in viewers and by 11% in young adults, the regular time period premiere of "Just for Laughs" took second in its half-hour, attracting 8.6 million viewers and a 3.0 rating, 10 share in Adults 18-49. Excluding the pre-TV season premiere of "Dancing with the Stars" in September (9/12/06), the hidden-camera comedy series turned in ABC's best summer showing in the time period in viewers and young adults in nearly 3 years � since 9/7/04.
� "Just for Laughs" won its time period in Kids 2-11 (2.2/9), finishing as the No. 1 program of the evening with Kids 2-11.
"Shaq's Big Challenge" (9:00-10:00 p.m.)
Boosted by the series debut of "Just for Laughs," "Shaq's Big Challenge" hit series highs in Total Viewers (5.4 million) and Adults 18-49 (2.0/6). In fact, the unscripted series attracted ABC's largest non-sports audience in the hour this summer.
"Primetime: Family Secrets" (10:00-11:00 p.m.)
ABC News' "Primetime: Family Secrets," featuring a Cynthia McFadden report on Daniel Baldwin's fight for his life, hit a series high for the second week in a row in Adults 18-49 (2.5/7). The ABC newsmagazine took second in the hour in both viewers (6.9 million) and young adults (2.5/7).
Wednesday
"American Inventor" (9:00-10:00 p.m.)
Building on its Adults 18-49 lead-in by 16% (2.2/7 vs. 1.9/7), ABC's "American Inventor" posted best-since-premiere ratings across each of the key women demographics: Women 18-34 (2.1/6), Women 18-49 (2.6/7 � tied) and Women 25-54 (2.9/7 � tied).
Friday
"20/20" (10:00-11:00 p.m.)
In the final hour of prime, ABC News' "20/20" ranked No. 1 among Adults 18-49 (1.5/5 - tied) for the 5th week in a row. In addition, the ABC newsmagazine qualified as No. 1 program on Friday night in the key adult demographic.
Saturday
ABC's encore telecast of "The Wonderful World of Disney: The Princess Diaries" placed second on the night in Adults 18-49 (1.2/5). The 2001 theatrical led Saturday evening across each of the key women demographics [Women 18-34 (1.5/6), Women 18-49 (1.7/7) and Women 25-54 (1.9/7)], Teens 12-17 (1.6/7) and Kids 2-11 (1.0/5).
Sunday
"Extreme Makeover: Home Edition � 7PM" (7:00-8:00 p.m.)
Part 1 of ABC's rebroadcast "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" ranked No. 1 in the 7 o'clock hour in Adults 18-49 (1.4/5 - tied), Women 18-34 (1.4/6) and Women 18-49 (1.6/6).
