ABC turned in its most competitive weekly results since November � since the week of w/o 11/20/06. The Network took a strong second-place for the week both Total Viewers and Adults 18-49, finishing just 500,000 viewers behind CBS (10.7 million vs. 11.2 million) and pacing within two-tenths of an Adult 18-49 rating point of Fox (3.7/11 vs. 3.9/12). In fact it was ABC's 4th consecutive week to hold second place to Fox in the key young adult sales demo. ABC ranked No. 1 on 4 nights of the week in Adults 18-49 (Mon/Thurs/Sat/Sun). On average in Adults 18-49, ABC (3.7/11) outpaced third-place CBS by 19% (3.1/9) and fourth-place NBC by 42% (2.6/7). Defeating "Idol"-fueled Fox, ABC won the week across each of the key women demos: W18-34 (4.3/11), W18-49 (5.1/14) and W25-54 (5.6/14). The Net tied Fox for the No. 1 position in Adults 25-54 (4.2/11) during the week.

� For the 3rd week in a row, ABC's prime delivery was up from the same week last year. Compared to the year-ago week (w/o 5/1/06), ABC was gained 2.0 million viewers (10.7 million vs. 8.7 million) and 16% in Adults 18-49 (3.7/11 vs. 3.2/9). In fact ABC was the only network to grow from the year-ago week, as CBS, NBC and Fox were each down on both Nielsen measures.

� Excluding the week of its Oscar telecast (w/o 2/19/07), the Network attracted its largest audience in more than 5 months - since the week of 11/13/06.

Weekly Rankings: ABC aired 7 of the week's Top 15 TV programs in Adults 18-49, placing 4 in the Top 10 (the most of any net): "Grey's Anatomy" � No. 3, "Desperate Housewives" � No. 5, "Lost" � No. 8, "Dancing with the Stars-MON" � No. 10, "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" � No. 14 and "Brothers & Sisters" and "Dancing with the Stars Results-TU" tied at No. 15. ABC was also home to 4 of the week's Top 10 most-watched television programs, the most for any net: "Grey's Anatomy" � No. 3, "Dancing with the Stars-MON" � No. 6, "Desperate Housewives" � No. 8 and "DWTS Results Show-TU" � No. 9. "Grey's Anatomy" was the week's No. 1 scripted program in Total Viewers and Adults 18-49, and for the second straight week stood as the No. 1 TV show overall with Adults 18-34, topping both editions of Fox's "American Idol." For the second week in a row, ABC News' "20/20" qualified as the No. 1 newsmagazine in Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54.

Monday

ABC ranked No. 1 on the first Monday of the 2007 May Sweep, leading second-place CBS by 2.6 million viewers (15.2 million vs. 12.6 million) and by 5% in Adults 18-49 (4.4/12 vs. 4.2/11). The Network logged its 7th straight Monday as the most-watched television network, while ranking No. 1 on the evening in Adults 18-49 for 6th time in the past 7 weeks. In Total Viewers and Adults 18-49, ABC turned in its strongest Monday in 5 weeks � since 3/26/07.

� Extending its run on the evening, ABC is delivering its longest Monday Total Viewer winning streak in well over 7 years � since a streak during the 1999-00 season, from 10/18/99-1/09/00.

� Compared to the first Monday of the May Sweep last year, ABC's numbers climbed year to year by 8.9 million viewers and by 29% in Adults 18-49 (6.3 million & 3.4/9 on 5/1/06).

"Dancing with the Stars" (8:00-9:45 p.m.)

Overshadowing its time period competition among Total Viewers (19.0 million) and Adults 18-49 (4.9/13), ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" was once again Monday's most-watched TV program. In addition to ranking as the night's most-watched show, ABC's broad skewing unscripted dance competition also ranked as the No. 1 TV program of the evening in Women 18-49 (7.2/19) and Kids 2-11 (2.0/8).

"The Bachelor: Officer and a Gentleman" (9:45-11:00 p.m.)

Facing competition in its time period including CBS' "King of Queens" and "C.S.I.: Miami," as well as NBC's "Heroes" and "Wedding Crashers," ABC's "The Bachelor: Officer and a Gentleman" emerged as the No. 3 TV program of the night among its core audience of Women 18-34 (4.9/13), behind only NBC's "Heroes" and ABC's "DWTS." From 10:00-11:00 p.m., ABC's "The Bachelor: Officer and a Gentleman" topped NBC's "The Real Wedding Crashers" by 3.8 million viewers (9.4 million vs. 5.6 million) and by 42% in Adults 18-49 (3.7/10 vs. 2.6/7). ABC tied CBS' "CSI: Miami" for the No. 1 position during the 10 o'clock hour among Adults 18-34 (3.3/10).

� "The Bachelor: Officer and a Gentleman" was up week to week by 8% in Total Viewers (9.8 million vs. 9.1 million) and by 9% in Adults 18-49 (3.7/10 vs. 3.4/9). The show attracted its largest audience since its season premiere and tied its season high in Adults 18-49.

Tuesday

On the first Tuesday of the May Sweep, ABC attracted 10.3 million viewers and posted a 2.7 rating, 7 share in Adults 18-49. The Net improved upon its year-ago performance by 3.6 million viewers and by 23% in the key young adult demo (6.7 million & 2.2/6 in Adults 18-49 on 5/2/06).

"Dancing with the Stars the Results Show - TU" (9:00-10:01 p.m.)

Growing from its lead-in by a significant 11.7 million viewers and by 141% among young adults against Fox's "Idol"-fueled "House" during the 9 o'clock hour, ABC's "Dancing with the Stars the Results Show" finished a competitive second in its time period in Total Viewers (16.3 million) and Adults 18-49 (4.1/10). ABC's dancing results program bested third-place CBS' "The Unit" in the 9 o'clock hour by 6.5 million viewers and by 41% in Adults 18-49 ("The Unit" = 9.7 million viewers & 2.9/7 in AD18-49). With five couples remaining in the competition, actor and author John Ratzenberger was the latest celebrity dancer to be eliminated from the dance competition.

� "DWTS the Results Show" was up week to week across all key men demographics: Men 18-34 (+21%), Men 18-49 (+9%) and Men 25-54 (+7%). In addition, the program matched a season-best performance among Teens 12-17 (2.2/7).

Boston Legal" (10:01-11:00 p.m.)

Finishing second in the 10 o'clock hour, ABC's "Boston Legal" was up over its performance the previous week in both Total Viewers (9.9 million vs. 9.5 million) and Adults 18-49 (2.4/6 vs. 2.3/6).

Wednesday

"Notes from the Underbelly" (8:30-9:00 p.m.)

Building on its lead-in among the young adult demos, "Notes from the Underbelly" saw increases over the previous week in Total Viewers (6.0 million vs. 4.8 million; +1.2 million) and across each of the key adult demographics: Adults 18-34 (2.0/5 vs. 1.4/4; +43%), Adults 18-49 (2.3/7 vs. 1.9/5; +21%) and Adults 25-54 (2.7/7 vs. 2.2/5; +23%).

"Lost" (10:00-11:00 p.m.)

Growing from its lead-in by 8.2 million viewers (12.3 million vs. 4.1 million) and by 279% in young adults (5.3/14 vs. 1.4/4), "Lost" won Wednesday's 10 o'clock hour, as well as being the top scripted-program of the night across the adult demographics: Adults 18-34 (4.8/14), Adults 18-49 (5.3/14) and Adults 25-54 (5.8/14). In fact the ABC drama has won its hour in the key Adult 18-49 sales demographic on all 13 telecasts since entering its new time slot.

� "Lost" saw increases over its week-ago deliveries in Total Viewers by 3% (12.3 million vs. 11.9 million) and Adults 18-49 by 6% (5.3/14 vs. 5.0/13), drawing the show's largest audience and matching its best Adults 18-49 performance in 7 weeks � since 3/14/07.

� "Lost" improved the hour for ABC over the same night last year by 5.0 million viewers and 89% in Adults 18-49 (7.3 million & 2.8/7 on 5/3/06).

Thursday

ABC posted a convincing victory on the second Thursday of the May Sweep, beating second-place CBS by 2.6 million viewers (17.7 million vs. 15.1 million) and by 66% in Adults 18-49 (7.3/20 vs. 4.4/12). It was the Net's second consecutive Thursday of the 2007 May Sweep to lead in the key young adult sales demo.

� ABC more than tripled its results from the year-ago Thursday in Total Viewers (+211%) and Adult 18-49 (+265%) - 5.7 million & 2.0/6 on 5/4/06.

� The Network delivered its top Thursday Viewer and Adult 18-49 numbers since May 4, 2000 and best Adult 18-34 number (7.1/21) since January 20, 2000 � with entertainment programming on the night. Without exclusions, ABC registered its highest Women 18-34 number (10.5/28) on the evening in nearly 13 years � since 5/12/94.

"Ugly Betty" (8:00-9:00 p.m.)

Taking a strong second from 8:00-9:00 p.m. to CBS' veteran "Survivor" in Total Viewers and Adults 18-49, ABC's "Ugly Betty" (10.7 million & 3.6/11) beat NBC's comedies (7.4 million & 3.4/10 � "My Name is Earl"/"The Office") and Fox's "Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader?" (9.0 million & 3.1/9). The ABC freshman series finished a strong No. 1 in its hour with Adults 18-34 (3.5/11) and Women 18-34 (5.4/15), ranking as the No. 2 TV program of the night in the latter measure, behind only "Grey's Anatomy." Furthermore, "Betty" has been No. 1 in its time slot with Women 18-34 on all 20 of its regularly scheduled original telecasts this season.

� "Ugly Betty" was up for the second week in a row, growing from the prior week by 1.1 million viewers and by 16% in Adults 18-49 (9.6 million & 3.1/9 on 4/26/07). "Betty" marked its largest audience in 7 weeks, while posting its top Adult 18-49 number in 11 weeks � since 3/15 and 2/15/07, respectively.

"Grey's Anatomy" (9:00-11:00 p.m.)

Thursday's No. 1 TV program in Total Viewers (21.2 million) and Adults 18-49 (9.1/24), an expanded episode of ABC's "Grey's Anatomy" towered above its 2-hour time period, dominating each half-hour. From 9:00-11:00 p.m., "Grey's" outdelivered second-place CBS' "C.S.I." and the season finale of "Shark" by 5.4 million viewers and by 107% in Adults 18-49 (CBS = 15.8 million & 4.4/11).

� Head to head in the 9 o'clock hour, ABC's "Grey's Anatomy" defeated CBS' "C.S.I." by 2.5 million viewers (21.5 million vs. 19.0 million) and by 63% in Adults 18-49 (9.1/23 vs. 5.6/14). In fact, the ABC medical drama has beaten the CBS crime procedural drama in Adults 18-49 on all 17 of their original match-ups this season.

� In the 2-hour time period, "Grey's Anatomy" produced ABC's top Adult 18-49 rating (9.1/24) with entertainment programming in 7 years and its highest Adult 18-34 rating (8.9/25) in 10 years � since 5/4/00 and 5/1/97, respectively.

Friday

"20/20" (10:02-11:00 p.m.)

ABC News' "20/20," featuring John Stossel's myth-busting report examining popular myths and Brian Ross' exclusive interview with Jeane Palfrey, the DC Madam, won the 10:00 p.m. time period among Adults 18-34 (1.7/7) for the fourth consecutive week. The newsmagazine also led the hour among Women 18-34 (2.3/9) and Women 18-49 (3.3/10).

Saturday

ABC's Saturday lineup, including a special repeat of "America's Funniest Home Videos" and "The ABC Saturday Movie of the Week: Meet the Fockers," lifted the Network to No. 1 position on the evening across each of the key adults demos [Adults 18-34 (1.5/7), Adults 18-49 (1.9/7) and Adults 25-54 (2.1/7)], as well as Teens 12-17 (1.4/6) and Kids 2-11 (1.2/5).

Sunday

Dominating its second straight Sunday of the 2007 May Sweep, ABC marked its 6th consecutive week to hold the No. 1 position on the night among Adults 18-49. ABC (4.4/12) won the evening by a wide margin in the key Adult 18-49 sales demographic, beating out second-place CBS by 42% (3.1/9), third-place Fox by 52% (2.9/8) and fourth-place NBC by 57% (2.8/8). ABC won all 4 hours of the evening for the second week in a row among Adults 18-49.

� For the 5th consecutive week, ABC's "Desperate Housewives" is Sunday's No. 1 TV show in Total Viewers and Adults 18-49. The Net claimed the Top 3 television programs on Sunday in Adults 18-49, with "Desperate Housewives," "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" and "Brothers & Sisters."

"America's Funniest Home Videos" (7:00-8:00 p.m.)

Leading Sunday's 7 o'clock hour for the 4th straight week, "America's Funniest Home Videos" led its nearest time period competition by 25% among Adults 18-49 (2.5/ vs. 2.0/7 � CBS' "60 Minutes").

"Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" (8:00-9:00 p.m.)

ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" ranked a definitive No. 1 during the 8 o'clock hour in Total Viewers and Adults 18-49. "Home Edition" surpassed its closest competition in the hour, which included the season finale of "Amazing Race All Stars," by 1.6 million viewers (11.9 million vs. 10.3 million � CBS' "Amazing Race") and by 16% in Adults 18-49 (4.4/12 vs. 3.8/11 � Fox's "The Simpsons"/"The Simpsons").

� "Home Edition" garnered its highest Adult 18-49 rating in 8 weeks � since 3/11/07.

"Desperate Housewives" (9:00-10:02 p.m.)

Sunday's No. 1 TV show for the 5th week running, ABC's "Desperate Housewives" overshadowed its competition during the 9 o'clock hour among viewers and young adults. "Housewives" bested its closest time period competitors by 3.5 million viewers (17.2 million vs. 13.7 million � CBS' "Cold Case" season finale) and by 89% in Adults 18-49 (6.6/16 vs. 3.5/9 � NBC's "SNL" special).

"Brothers & Sisters" (10:02-11:00 p.m.)

ABC's freshman "Brothers & Sisters" won Sunday's 10 o'clock hour for the second week in a row in Adults 18-49 (4.1/11), beating second-place NBC's "Saturday Night Live" special by 8% (3.8/10) and third-place CBS' veteran "Without a Trace" by 11% (3.7/10).
