CBS Wins the First Night of the May Sweep in Viewers and Adults 25-54
CBS placed first in viewers on the first night of the May sweeps as CSI attracted more viewers than "Grey's Anatomy" and SHARK won its time period in viewers and finished ahead of "ER" in adults 18-49 for the second time in three weeks, according to preliminary Nielsen Live Plus same-day ratings for Thursday, April 26.
CSI was first in viewers (19.99m), second in households (12.1/19), adults 25-54 (7.4/18) and adults 18-49 (5.8/15).
At 10:00 PM, SHARK was first in households (9.3/16), viewers (14.26m) and adults 25-54 (4.9/13) and second in adults 18-49 (3.9/11). Compared to last week, SHARK was up +9% in households (from 8.5/14), +17% in adults 25-54 (from 4.2/11), +30% in adults 18-49 (from 3.0/09) and added +1.72m viewers (from 12.54m, +14%). SHARK has won its time period 12 times in the last 13 airings in both households and viewers. SHARK topped "ER" (3.7/10) in adults 18-49 for the second time in three weeks.
SURVIVOR: FIJI was first in households (8.1/14), viewers (13.83m), adults 25-54 (5.5/15) and adults 18-49 (4.5/13). SURVIVOR topped "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader" by +35% in households (vs. 6.0/10), +49% in adults 25-54 (vs. 3.7/10), +32% in adults 18-49 (vs. 3.4/10) and by +3.84m viewers (vs. 9.99m, +38%). SURVIVOR topped "Ugly Betty" by +21% in households (vs. 6.7/11), +53% in adults 25-54 (vs. 3.6/10), +45% in adults 18-49 (vs. 3.1/09) and by +4.27m viewers (vs. 9.56m, +45%).
For the night, CBS was first in households (9.9/16), viewers (16.02m) and adults 25-54 (5.9/15) and second in adults 18-49 (4.8/13).
