NBC RATINGS RESULTS FOR THE WEEK OF APRIL 9-15

BURBANK, Calif. � April 17, 2007 � NBC averaged a 2.2 rating, 6 share in adults 18-49 and 6.8 million viewers overall for the week of April 9-15, according to "live plus same day" in-home viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research.

Averages for the week of April 9-15 in adults 18-49 were Fox (4.0/11), ABC and CBS (3.1/9), NBC (2.2/6), Univision (1.7/5), CW (1.1/3) and Telemundo (0.4/1). In overall total viewers the weekly averages were CBS (11.3 million), Fox (10.3 million), ABC (9.3 million), NBC (6.8 million), Univision (3.8 million), CW (2.7 million) and Telemundo (0.9 million).

In regular program averages through the first 30 weeks of the 2006-07 season, NBC is running even with last year's average in adult 18-49 rating (3.3 vs. 3.3). NBC and Fox (which is also even vs. last year in regular program averages with a 4.1) are the only major networks that are matching their year-ago regular-program averages. By that measure, CBS is down 8 percent (from a 3.9 to a 3.6) and ABC is down 10 percent (from a 4.0 to a 3.6).

NBC highlights for the week of April 9-15:

* On Monday, the debut of "Thank God You're Here" scored NBC's highest 18-49 rating in four weeks in the 9:01-11 p.m. time period. In the 10-11 p.m. hour, "Thank God You're Here" was up 32 percent in 18-49 versus the average for "The Black Donnellys" in the time period. "TGYH" ranked #1 among men 18-34 from 10-11 p.m.

* On Wednesday, "Friday Night Lights" wrapped up its first season with its highest 18-49 rating and overall viewership in nearly two months (since February 14). The "Lights" finale was up by 11 percent in adults 18-49 and 17 percent in overall viewers versus its prior four-week average.

* On Thursday, "The Office" posted it biggest increase ever versus its "Earl" lead-in, growing by 37 percent in 18-49 rating. "The Office," which ranked #2 in the time period in adults 18-49, was #1 in adults, men and women 18-34 and men 18-49.

* This week, "The Office" ranked #4 (out of a total 102 network programs) in adults 18-34 (tied with "Grey's Anatomy," "Desperate Housewives" and "Lost."). "The Office" also ranked among the week's top 10 programs in men 18-34 (#4) and men 18-49 (#8, tied).

Ratings reflect "live plus same day" data unless otherwise noted. Season-to-date figures are averages of "live plus seven day" data except for the two most recent weeks, which are "live plus same day."

Additional NBC highlights for the week of April 9-15:

On Monday, April 9, from 8-9:01 p.m. ET, "Deal or No Deal" (3.1 rating, 9 share in adults 18-49, 11.0 million viewers overall) ranked #2 in adults 18-49, total viewers and other key demographics.

Monday from 9:01-11 p.m. ET, the premiere of "Thank God You're Here" (3.6/9 in 18-49, 8.2 million viewers overall) scored NBC's highest 18-49 rating in this time period in four weeks (since March 12).

In the 10-11 p.m. ET hour, "Thank God You're Here" averaged a 3.3 rating in adults 18-49, up 32 percent in 18-49 versus the average for "The Black Donnellys" (2.5) in this time period. "Thank God You're Here" ranked #1 among men 18-34 from 10-11 p.m.

On Tuesday, April 10 at 8 p.m. ET, "Dateline NBC" (1.7/5 in 18-49, 5.0 million viewers overall) was up 21 percent in 18-49 and 22 percent in total viewers versus NBC's performance in this time period on the same night last year. At 9 p.m., an encore telecast of "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" averaged a 1.8/4 in 18-49 and 5.5 million viewers overall. From 10-11 p.m., an encore "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (2.7/7 in 18-49, 8.5 million viewers overall) was #1 in adults 18-34 and finished within 1 share of the time period lead in adults 18-49.

On Wednesday, April 11 at 8 p.m. ET, the season finale of "Friday Night Lights" (2.1/6 in 18-49, 6.3 million viewers overall) was up 11 percent in 18-49 and 17 percent in total viewers versus its prior four-week average, delivering its highest 18-49 rating and overall viewer total in almost two months (since February 14). From its first to its second half-hour, "Lights" increased by 10 percent in 18-49. At 9 p.m., "Crossing Jordan" averaged a 1.7/4 in 18-49 and 6.2 million viewers overall opposite a one-hour "American Idol."

Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET, "Medium" (2.6/7 in 18-49, 7.7 million viewers overall) increased by 53 percent in 18-49 rating and 24 percent in total viewers versus its lead-in from the previous hour.

On Thursday, April 12 at 8 p.m. ET, "My Name is Earl" delivered a 3.0/9 in 18-49 and 6.7 million viewers overall. "Earl" was #1 (tied) in men 18-34.

Thursday from 8:30-9 p.m. ET, "The Office" (4.1/11 in 18-49, 7.7 million viewers overall) generated its biggest increase ever versus its "Earl" lead-in, growing by 37 percent in 18-49 rating. "The Office" ranked #2 in the time period in adults 18-49 and #1 in adults, men and women 18-34 and men 18-49.

Thursday from 9-9:31 p.m. ET, "30 Rock" (2.6/7 in 18-49, 5.1 million viewers overall) delivered its top 18-49 rating since March 1. From 9:31-10:01 p.m., "Scrubs" (2.7/7 in 18-49, 5.0 million viewers overall) sewed up NBC's best 18-49 rating in the time period in six weeks.

Thursday from 10:01-11 p.m. ET, "ER." (3.7/10 in 18-49, 9.2 million viewers overall) increased by 37 percent in 18-49 rating and by 83 percent in overall viewership versus its lead-in, while competing programs on ABC and CBS both declined versus their respective lead-ins. "ER" ranked #2 in adults 18-49, total viewers and other measures.

On Friday, April 13 from 8-9 p.m. ET, "Identity" (1.9/7 in 18-49, 6.6 million viewers overall) was up 19 percent in 18-49 rating versus the prior week, hitting its top result in three weeks. "Identity" increased by 18 percent in 18-49 rating from its first to its second half-hour. At 9 p.m., "Raines" averaged a 1.5/5 in 18-49 and 6.4 million viewers overall, finishing within 0.3 of a rating point of the time period lead in 18-49 and ranking #2 in total viewers. At 10 p.m., an encore "Law & Order" (1.8/6 in 18-49, 6.8 million viewers overall) built on its lead-in by 20 percent in 18-49 rating.

On Saturday, April 14 at 8 p.m. ET, "Andy Barker, P.I." averaged a 0.5/2 in 18-49 and 2.1 million viewers overall and at 8:30 p.m. a second episode of "Andy Barker" averaged a 0.6/2 in 18-49 and 2.0 million viewers overall. At 9 p.m., a rebroadcast of "Law & Order" (1.1/3 in 18-49, 5.4 million viewers overall) built on its lead-in by 83 percent in 18-49 and 175 percent in overall total viewers. At 10 p.m., an encore "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" (1.6/5 in 18-49, 6.8 million viewers overall) built on its lead-in from the previous hour by 45 percent in 18-49 rating and 26 percent in total viewers.

On Sunday, April 15 from 7-9 p.m. ET, "Dateline NBC" averaged a 1.6/4 in 18-49 and 6.6 million viewers overall. From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Dateline" increased its 18-49 rating by 54 percent (to a 2.0/5 from a 1.3/4) and its overall viewership by 40 percent (to 8.3 million from 5.9 million).

At 9 p.m. ET Sunday, an encore "Deal or No Deal" averaged a 2.3/5 in 18-49 and 8.2 million viewers overall. At 10 p.m., "The Apprentice" delivered a 2.4/6 in 18-49 and 6.2 million viewers overall.
